Wish list for the TESV: Skyrim

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 3:10 am

Well, in all developments there is always a wish list on the official forums where fans and prospective buyers of the product, write those improvements that would like to see in the game.
Write here your wish list, arranged into groups of "things I want to include", "things I want to be corrected in earlier versions", etc ...

This is not a thread for open discussion, you should just leave your requests, so that developers have a thread where you see all your requests.

Thanks, and sorry for my bad english.

P.D: A request for moderators, if possible could put this thread fixed (post-it)? Thanks.

Well I don't know if they'll even have enough time to implement suggestions, I was kind of under the impression Skyrim is pretty far along in the development cycle...

But I'd really like to be able to summon more than one creature at a time.

NO. NO. NO.

I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS

I wish for the game to have better graphics than real life.

Random NPC lists and dynamic migration.

What I mean by that is that each town would have the scripted NPCs that are necessary for quests, etc. In addition, each town should have a reasonable number of random NPCs that stay in a common house or in individual homes. If those NPCs are killed, they are eventually replaced with a new NPC generated randomly. In the interim, the house should be labelled as "Unoccupied", meaning you could use it as a temporary hideout for more unscrupulous characters.

The migration comes in when people move from one area to the next. Random NPCs move from town A to town B, possibly even having comments about how they recently moved. You could also have NPCs permanently move out of the game area, rotating NPCs out to make the world more dynamic.

Most likely any ideas the the devs like enough, will not be implemented at this stage of development. More likely, those suggestions that they like enough might make it into the next incarnation of TES, but for Skyrim it is a little too deep into development to feasibly begin to add new ideas. Save that for the next game.

Save your nay-saying for the next game!! XD

I would love to see some dynamic endings in this game, and dynamic conversations where speechcraft is actually worth a damn! I want speechcraft to meld in with my conversations, and I want dialogue options that yield different responses and outcomes. Furthermore, I want to be able to run an actual Thief character who is oriented in stabbing with a silver tongue, not a silver dagger. It's about time that games let us approach situations with brain rather than brawn (again), and I want a game where I can play a dashing rogue who can dodge, flee, hide and talk his way out of any situation.

Also, puzzle-based challenges would be epic. I've been waiting for an M rated Ocarina of Time. ;)

too late? some things id like to see, modders could do in a week. of course there will always be those too complicated or far-reaching to change at this point but it shouldnt be reason not to have a wish list.

I wish for spears, the ability to wield them in one hand (why do rpgs make them 2 handed when armies in the past commonly wield them with one hand? kudos to total war games for reflecting this), and thrown weapons.

  • More interaction with environment, based on skills, be able to move heavy objetcs like corpses and rocks if you are stong enough for example, telekinesis that doesn't only work with small item but also on living things.
  • I want to really get hurt when i'm hit, not only hear "ooaaargh!" and see my health bar go down. I want an ogers to knock me the hell back and project me a few feet aways with one hell of a punch. I'd like my skills to determine whether I land on my feet like a cat or crash my face on the floor crying like a baby when this happens.
  • Acrobatics that allow more...acrobatics. Not as much as prince of persia but something in the same mood. That'd be swell.
  • Be able to enter building from windows.
  • Levitation please
  • More situation-based music, like Daggerfall. Combat music that triggers only when you get hit, not before. it just ruins the "surprise".

Tell me something; Just how long do you want the game to be delayed anyway? Every new idea that gets implemented now, at this late stage of development WILL delay it's release. I for one would much rather them meet their scheduled release date with the ideas they already have, than trying to re write the game in order to implement a few ideas that may or may not work out. Save your ideas for the next game instead of trying to get what you want right now, cause it's not gonna happen.

* Placing books on bookshelves no longer requires extreme dedication, or stubbornness.
* Likewise, objects in display cases don't migrate to the bottom/front of the case over time.

For the combat( stealthy marksman mage anything) to feel like a new life threatening challenge that has to be thought out and not button mashed

Something that really bugged me was the font size in Oblivion. In Morrowind, the font was small, and could fit more words in. I liked this...but for some reason, they increased the size of the font in Oblivion. WE ARE NOT A BUNCH OF RETARDS...PLEASRE, NO MORE SPECIAL ED FONT!

- Return to old system of stats for weapons. Oblivion is a very simplistic version, iron damage 1, forged iron damage 2. A like more damage 2-6, 34-80, variability. Not all iron sword have same damage, depend manufacturing. I like more Iron Axe | Speed 50 | Range 30 | Damage 23-45 | +1 Agility | +13% Fire Damage, for example. Diferent types of objets, normal, magic, special, unique, etc...
- Eliminate system of chargues for magic weapons, sorry but is nor very useful. Is more good see permanent magic features in the weapons, similar to Diablo, Titan Quest, Ultima Online, and all the similar games.
- Improve visual magic. In Oblivion, all magic is same, particles flying around the launcher or the objective. Nothing spectacular, you can not distinguish a spell of another.
- Special moves to stab, Splinter Cell type.
- Chance to steal through threats and extortion.
- The guards did not always know you're wearing something stolen. Let's be serious, it is impossible for a guard know you're wearing something stolen, if not seen you steal.
- Possibility of an evil character with the same potential as a good one.
- I want to steal, kill, hit, threaten, and ultimately, make wrong, without having the feeling I'm playing against the game.
- Use the horse to carry objects.
- Use the horse for battle.
- Combat system similar to Mount & Blade. That have range weapons hit, if hit with the tip of the spear or the club does not do the same damage. The shield, always pairs attacks, worn on the hand or back.
- That you can not instantly change armor, armor change means more time and effort. That this is seen in the game.
- continue...
