I wish Skyrim had ripped off some elements from Dark Messiah

Normally most people wouldn't want to play a rip-off game because its unoriginal and wouldnt be as fun. But as TES is already a strongly established series, perhaps they also should've learned something from Dark Messiah: Might and Magic

Look at those kicks, the arrow rope, the orcs slipping on ice, shrinking your enemies, picking up their ragdolls and tossing them, stabbing them when they're down!

If only Skyrim had those, then it would be even more awesome than it already is.

Oddly enough, much of what Oblivion and Skyrim have tried to do aren't really their own ideas, as much as less polished, less well implemented variations of what games, such as Dark Messiah, got right. Not to say Dark Messiah pioneered all those mechanics, it didn't. However, in the minds of many, especially where first person melee combat is concerned, it's still the benchmark by which other efforts are measured, and rightly so.

Only thing that game did right was combat, other than that it had 3 weapons and 3 skins for those weapons, story was horrible and it was one of the most linear games i have ever played. It makes me sad to see "Might and Magic" in its name. But combat was good IDD, kicking in skyrim would be a bit hard tho, we cant see our legs in first person.

Well,I certainly would love some kicks.Have you noticed that boots can be enchanted with fortify hand-to-hand? =D Would make much more sense that way.

That combat looks horrible. It looks so easy, every swing the enemies goes flying backwards on there ass. Sure it looks fun but theres no challenge

Didn't Zenimax acquire the company that made Dark Messiah a few years back?

If Skyrim copied parts of this game, I wouldn't bs surprised to see the forums complaining about how it rips off this game, that game, ect.

Bethesda has taken ideas from Gothic 1 & 2. I'd like to see them incorporate elements of Dark Messiah. The combat in that game was great, and I'd love to see a sequel.
