I should have looked at this board three hours ago before I traded in games I actually liked to play for this game.

Played the story mode with my friends and it seems their thought process was to make incredibly short maps but to make it a challenge they keep the enemies re spawning at a high rate with ever stronger guns. The control interface is clunky, your guns have little to no effect on the enemy in co-op. It is incredibly hard to finish off a opponent on co-op emptying two magazines into one who is already down is absurd. Figuring out when or why a character has not gone down is difficult, hit tracking is weak also.

Brink does look good beyond that I do not have anything positive to say. I was hoping for something almost as good as Borderlands but I am sorely disappointed.

Bottom line: save your money

Really 2 mags? It didnt take that much and me and my buddy beat it on hard. Also just let them lay there and kill the medics who come to heal them.

The single player portion of Brink is its multiplayer portion as well, the only difference is that you're playing with bots instead of real players in the former. It's not like a traditional campaign in most games, especially considering your enemies are meant to be as deadly as you are (even though bots don't clear bodies for some reason...)

The control interface is clunky, your guns have little to no effect on the enemy in co-op. It is incredibly hard to finish off a opponent on co-op emptying two magazines into one who is already down is absurd. Figuring out when or why a character has not gone down is difficult, hit tracking is weak also.
I don't really have anything to say to this other than keep shooting people until they're dead. The hit detection is fine against bots if you're not using the useless as [censored] heavy shotgun with ridiculous amounts of recoil.

Brink does look good beyond that I do not have anything positive to say. I was hoping for something almost as good as Borderlands but I am sorely disappointed.
Borderlands isn't competative, or for that matter very good when played alone. Modded weapons also screwed the game's balance.

The enemies re spawn at the same rate as you.

When an opponent is down just melee them and it finishes them off in one.

A bullet realistically should finish them. Especially compared to a melee.

Because realism is what they're going for, right?

It takes so long to shoot an incapped enemy to death to discourage you from doing that, and giving medics a chance to do combat revives.

How about you give him some pointers instead of insults then twisted

The control interface is clunky, your guns have little to no effect on the enemy in co-op.
How is it clunky? Everything I need is there... I take people out in 10 shots or so

It is incredibly hard to finish off a opponent on co-op emptying two magazines into one who is already down is absurd. Figuring out when or why a character has not gone down is difficult, hit tracking is weak also.
The game isn't a traditional shooter, focus on getting shots on an opponent as opposed to "killing" them

Brink does look good beyond that I do not have anything positive to say. I was hoping for something almost as good as Borderlands but I am sorely disappointed.
I'm glad you like the art direction. Borderlands is a seperate game, why do people want clones of other games?

Bottom line: save your money

plus one "CantThink" was thinking the same.

With all things software it will most likely get better. To say this game is a finished product though IMO would be a mistake.

Really comes down to the commitment of Bethesda in furthering the game. I think this game is very promising concept wise.

Don't care for the overall game play though. All the guns seem the same in general. I appreciate there are in fact variations but they are pretty slight to me.

I think if they stick with this title and push to improve it they may have something, however I think it was released too early. Would have rather seen it pushed back 6 months.
