with just under 4 months to go, how excited are you about Sk

Post » Mon Jul 18, 2011 6:56 pm

yip I've pre-ordered too many games that I've been looking forward to only to find that you need to wait another month after you get it for a patch to fix the many bugs and flaws that you get with modern games these days. so i think i'll hold off for a month and by that time I'll have read a lot of customer reviews and should know if its worth buying.

L-O-L! Same here, 10 all the way. The tricky bit for me is, as much as I want to, not taking in every little minute piece of info about the game. I don't wanna burn myself out so much that it hardly seems like a new game when I eventually get it, ya know?

if I had a space ship I would do a few laps around earth at 90% the speed of light and 10 minutes for me will be 4 months on earth :D

profit

alas its missing some critical elements that I can't find on this backwater planet (no offense)

I'd like to say 10 or even 9, but I'd be lying if I said I wanted to freeze myself. And I have not even booked holiday, because I've got school. Not even 8 can be said as I get it mailed to my front door 11.11.11. So 7. But I'd like to say 10

"4) sounds like the game is getting a bit too simplified, ill probebly [sic] wait a while until the price drops a bit."

Based on the info available at the moment, and the lack of a demo, it doesn't sound like a game I'm prepared to pay full price for, I anticipate I'd be as disappointed with Skyrim as I was with Oblivion if I did so. I'll wait for reviews and critical fan feedback before deciding. Probably a Steam sale purchase at this stage, I much more tolerant of a games failures if it's on sale.

It'll also give me a chance to assess what mods can do to improve the character creation/development and combat aspects of the game.

You should add option 0:
"Dude, I already have this thing pre-ordered since winter. Why are you still asking?"
That says it for me and some others :) . Though strangely, all I want is to get it exactly on 11.11.11 - neither sooner nor later.

Got to write my first post to this thread. Greetings!

Mmh, about 11. I'm damn excited about Skyrim, I check out all websites every day if there would be any new information about it =D
Sometimes it just seems like forever, four months =( , though I don't let it affect in my social life and so. (can't propably keep that promise after 11/11/11 :D

I'm not an ''oldschool player'', playing since Oblivion, but I still say TES is one of the best gameseries alltime (IMO, of course). I've thought of buying Morrowind, but I don't know if it's smart because Skyrim coming.

I will have turned 18 by then, so I will finally be able to legally drive past 11pm. So yeah, I'll be going to the midnight release.

lol, I'll only be 17 so I'm walking there and catching a ride home

Ok, iv not been so excited about a game, well since Oblivion came out. And i know you shouldnt wish your life away, but i would happily fast forward the next 3 and a bit months untill Skyrim gets released.

what about you ?

I'm pumped up for Skyrim too, but not as much as some of the members here. I will not be attending the midnight release event at Gamestop. I can always pick up my reserved copy the next day after work.

I was gonna choose 9 but the realized how awesome it would be to cryogenically freeze myself. I ended up going with 10

I put 4, because i'll get it at christmas time, and i can't be to eager to get a game that doesn't have enough info about it.

Gaming is a major hobby of mine, and Skyrim is my most anticipated game in the last few years. I guess it doesn't REALLY matter if I get it on the day or go to the midnight release the night before, but midnight releases are fun in themselves! Also I am planning to take the weekend off from work for a 3-day binge. I won't cancel band practice though. I voted a solid 8, call it 8+ but not quite 9.

I'm going straight for 10!

Also, on the hand to hand note, people have talked about it, saying it was only the skill itself. I would have to believe them, since there are tavern brawls, and let's just face it- you can't trust many people when they're having a "friendly" competition with swords, axes, etc.
