And the speculation that the PS4 will be unveiled on Feb 20th, does this pretty much insure that the next Fallout will be a next gen title? Since both Xbox and PS will be using the same chipset this go-round, the problems between consoles will be small if nonexistent.

So, my questions are out there...will Fallout be a next gen title and will you buy a next generation machine if/when the next fallout is announced as either a launch game or shortly thereafter? The answer is yes/yes in my pre-war book.

There is a chance that F4 won't be next gen, but only if it's as far along in development as many here believe. It is supposed to be 2/3 done and if that is so, then they will either release it for this generation, or they will have to take a lot longer, because they have to use the new development kits for the next generation. Either way, I have changed, and now only use PC for big games, because mods.

From what we have been hearing for some time now Skyrims engine *was* developed for the next gen platform, and suposedly the "high res" texture pack was created so they could release on the 360 and the infinity at the same time.

yep, hoping it comes out for next gen so i can further utlilize the power in my pc for the newer games. been a LONG time coming and itd be nice to start the rodeo off with the new fallout title.
