Well,, this is more of a extensive scripting project,
More than a simple wizard project. But I do welcome the PROMO. Hard to explain all my thoughts at the present moment. Working on that.... So far I've figured out how to color what I want in the OP. Whohooo! there are a 1000 different lanuages to learn...

EDIT: stupid me---do

EDIT2: unny thing is.. I acan draft a DHTML in minute but can't seen to format a post ;)

The basic Idea of the wizard is that everyone can download it(wizard small size 60kb) + maybe Pics (the real dl size???could be big... depends on how you follow the project)

And the wizard will work no matter what..., If a person has downloaded the archive or not. Some BAINing will be required if you want it to work. Downloading the mods also. Working on a community DHTML...

But the folder structure will be instantly readily available(sorta like a BOSS list but in script) with (if you learn what the -##### means - Ex: Subpackage -###)

It will be a series of All-In-One- WIZBAIN Scripts that will deal with different sects of mods as a BAIN project-archive.

EDIT:
This also opens up the possibility of those following the project"whatever WIZBAIN" to make Leveled list plugins for which archives have been downloaded....
Ex: Like Armamentarium, but for a Specific type of Armor. All DLs-required- sorta like a merged plugin
or like Vacs
Adonnays Elven Weaponry for NPCs

Here is a preview of the program I have been working on.

http://img851.imageshack.us/i/tes4wizbainpreview.jpg/

It will do many things including... WIPz most of the initial ideas are done, but fancyfing it will take a bit more....
1. Generate a general empty folder structure for use with Wrye Bash's BAIN.
2. Creation of a list of mod names for the generated folders with csv files.
3. Generation of a wizard installer script that will work with the generated folder structure.
4. Eventually make it into a FULL IDE for Oblivion modding.
....Then add support for other moddable games.
....Ex. Fallout, Transcendence, OrangeBox, etc...
....And of course Duke Nukem Forever...Finally:) If it's moddable.
Would like some feedback.... Complaints... Feature Requests.. etc.../

Just an FYI - RAEVWD contains a wizard now, courtesy of Malonn.

The reason it didn't before was because it isn't really necessary. If a mod is packaged with appropriate folder structure then the subpackage system can handle it already.

OK grabbing.

We'll see about drooling - I'm pretty fast at doing things by hand.

I will try this out but this month is chaotic for me - moving and all. When I get a chance I'll fire it up.

thanks

=========

[edit] aaaannnnddd .... I've no idea what to do with this thing once started. It is a BAIN wizard script tool - right?

I've little need for that ... I can see how mod makers would though.

What I would like from you (in particular Psymon) is a list of subpackages within your UltraBAIN'd archives(with numbers or links)

From anyone else, the same...
but keep this in mind

The format that is needed is

Modname V#.# - Nexusnumber or whatever

all in a simple txt. post it in a code box. Bain provides spoiler tags, but note that I only need subpackage names/options & numbers, etc.

Edit:errrr options

You're probably ready to hate me by now as it is, but you did ask me to come and opine.

Honestly, I don't get the point. Your method of presentation is so scattered I can't tell from the thread alone exactly what you're trying to accomplish here. A file naming standard? A council? Leaders for some huge project? Not at all clear what all that's even for.

The Nexus page you link to gives some idea of what's going on. It seems you've got an IDE of sorts for making BAIN wizards. That sounds potentially useful but there's no real explanation as to why one would want to go that route vs simply writing the wizard by hand. Is it meant more for the casual mod makers who don't want to learn the ins and outs of BAIN scripting? I'd assume the same target audience would be those who don't want to learn the ins and outs of OBMM scripting as well.

I think it would help immensely to make the presentation of the thread and the utility a bit more clear. It's not even apparent why there would need to be a council for renaming files. ?

I learned from the song bird
that if I can't get my point
across in ten lines or less,
most people won't care anyway.

Am I wrong bird?

Perhaps he's arguing his case for insanity?

In which case, can you report someone for being apparently insane? I ask because this is clearly going downhill. I'll give it a go.

EDIT: Report sent. Either I'll get a warning from the mods for a frivolous report, or something else will happen. I'm hoping for something else.

Perhaps I am, perhaps not.

The creation was for learning, so learn.
..

The hard way... if you choose.
