Women over 30 and Skyrim

Rather hip & funky actually.

My mother is ten years older & the only games she plays are Bejeweled & WiiFit Sports. Nothing on real games like Bethesda make.

I'm 42 and I still play. In fact I didn't play video games much at all until I was 27, tho I did play the old Atari cartridge stuff as a kid when my dad bought one. Time spent gaming goes up and down and I play less than I used to...but I still love them.

A lot of the female (and male) gamers I've talked to online over the years have been within 5-10 years of my age, so I've always thought it was a fairly normal, if perhaps smaller, age group, among the many age groups.

Now that I think of it, it's not only that there are more female players, but actually more female game developers. The lead developer on Read Alert 3 was a woman.
