Problems with The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Special Edition

I might be the first posting here but people is going crazy on Steam forums.

Me, amongst many others, hit the Play button and game just won't start. No error messages or anything. (Unlike another user here I don't get to see Bethesda logo)

Got to say the first time I tried, I saw on Steam library the game was 'syncing' but after half an hour of waiting, I came to think it really wasn't doing a thing.

I preloaded the game yesterday without an issue.

Thanks in advance for your replies!

I have the same problem, SSE doesn't start when I double click the shortcut in Windows. :brokencomputer:

EDIT: I've already installed SSE three times and still I get this http://www.theassimilationlab.com/forums/gallery/image/7371-sse-launcher-error/ every time no matter what I do, so reinstalling SSE doesn't fix it.

Just curious if there are any log files in the Skyrim root directory.

The specs meet the minimum H/W requirements? (My AMD GPU is http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/requirements/skyrim-special-edition/13739 so don't know if it's possible to get away with that on launch)

@Leo: Could you translate the error please? Is there anything of interest in the Skyrim subdirectory re the posted graphic?

Sure, I'll try. What the error says it is about that dll file that's missing on my system and I can try to fix by reinstalling SSE, which I've tried three times to fix by reinstalling SSE without luck.

api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll

Yes, there is some interest in that picture. As you can see I do have the depotcache directory (beneath the selected directory in the picture), which probably mean that I preloaded SSE at least a day before it was officially released on Steam.

@Leo: Try installing the package for your OS from https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/kb/2999226 (I take it you don't have W10?).

Also make sure you're running Skyrim as administrator.

YES!!!

That update for Windows 7 for x64-based system got rid of my problem for not being able to launch SSE, so now I'm gonna to start a new game without mods since 11-11-11. :tes:

It's also time to get to check if SSE-CK is available and if it's then I'll convert my mod to SSE ASAP. :D

I always running every game or programs as an administrator.
