I wonder if Skyrim will have more Wonder Woman in it.

Lynda Carter was the voice of every Nord & Orc female in Oblivion. (And was Wonder Woman in the live-action TV series.)

Yeah, it's a nice voice, and she's great..... but, honestly, it was annoying hearing the same damn, completely recognizable (only other voice I recognized off the bat was Patrick Stewart) voice every time you talked to Nord & Orc women. I'd be happy to not run into it in Skyrim. :)

. . . Is this a troll of some sort? Was there a Wonder Woman easter egg in a past game I'm unaware of?

EDIT: Well, now I know -- the initial post seemed like a complete non sequitur for me. Sorry about the troll accusation; it seemed unlikely because your account is so old but I was confused. Leaving the above there as evidence of my being reactionary and [censored].

EDITx2: On topic, I never really noticed or cared about NPCs sharing voice actors. The voice acting didn't register for me unless it was absolutely horrible (Or Patrick Stewart, for vastly different reasons). I wouldn't mind anyone coming back to voice-act unless they bring back the chick who voiced female Bosmers. Methredel sounded like she had a few swapped chromosomes . . .

Im guessing voice actor. I prefer not to put faces to the voices. Makes immersing myself much easier because im not thinking about the person whos voice I am hearing.

That explains it. Link didn't work for me. But I didn't like her voice. She sounded like a nasally (is that the word I'm looking for?) Daria.

I'm just finding it interesting that people are replying without reading your other post which explains the thread.

haha Where does the time go? :P

This thread made me imagine George Burns showing up and voicing Sheogorath while smoking a cigar.

Having Lynda's voice in Oblivion was sort of like...oooooh cool.... and that was about it for me. It doesn't matter to me who's behind the voices as long as they are done well and I hope that we don't hear the same person's voice talking the same way on every other NPC. One good voice person should be able to talk with several different styles/tones/accents, so hopefully Beth will look for that quality and get more bang for their buck that way.

And no, I'm not talking about using just one person for all voices that was just an example. :)

.. by more Wonder Woman, do you mean a real female dog who thinks she's above everyone else because she appeared semi-naked (for the time) in a 1970's show?

I don't think she'll be returning since she hasn't been up to much since 2007 according to her IMDb. Something always seemed off about the way she spoke in Oblivion, as though she thought the game was for young children or had no concept of how to pronounce the fictitious words.

Isn't she married to one of the board members of ZeniMax, which is why she was in Oblivion? Beth got her to work for them for cheap.

so what you are saying is that you would rather Bethesda spend a bunch of money on only a few famous actors and once again make all the voices sound the same instead of getting a lot more actors that are cheaper and practically almost as good so we can have more of a variety of voices?

I'd rather them not do that.. I want a lot more variety this time around. At first it didn't bug me, but now it does. The forums can change a man....

She was every Nord woman in Morrowind too.

Yeah, that was kind of annoying, I hope they have more voices and they should bring back brit sounding Altmers.

I wouldn't mind If Linda Carter comes back, though maybe not to play every Nord.

According to USEP Wiki she's married to Bethesda's CEO Robert Altman.

Did I just step on some toes posting a frivolous thread in a board about a video game? I'm sorry I didn't realize this be a serious board. I will endeavor to have more threads that only talk about serious subjects from now on.
