I wonder if there are dragon eggs

Post » Tue May 03, 2011 6:41 am

So, the orcs have evolved somewhat from the green piggies that thay were in Oblivion, but they probably can still wear helmets. Then there are these angry things flying in the sky, like birds, that can come crashing down and wreak havoc. And Todd Howard suggests running for cover when confronting them.

That vaguely reminds me of something, but I am not sure what it could be. Anyway, I wonder if there are dragon eggs, that an orc could hunt and fry for lunch to start the game off with a full stomach.

Dragons aren't really physical beings so they don't reproduce. Anyway you're already nomming on their souls.

I'm not sure, but you could encounter dragonlings in DF so it would make sense.

I'm not sure, but I think it would be cool to come across something like this in a dungeon, or in a nook and cranny on a mountain.

Not quite sure if dragons are beasts from Mundus or Aedric beings like Alduin.

If they're Aedra, no dragon eggs as they can't reproduce. If they're actual creatures of Nirn like http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Dragons say they are, then maybe.

Well... Since they aren't actual dragons, and are just 1. The "minions" of the (aedra?) Akatosh/ Alduin/ etc... they're pretty much just made to look like dragons, because, well... just because I guess. If they wanted to be giant killer bunnies, they could, probably...

There were edible kwama eggs in Morrowind, although kwamas as creatures perhaps were not quite as fierce or magical.

How about a literal Dragon Easter Egg?

Who can say. Perhaps there could be, as an easter egg, a special gaming mode, where one starts off as an orc with an initial quest to steal and eat a dragon egg, leading then to a continuous bombardment by angry dragons, maybe about half a dozen at a time: Wheeee!*.....Kaboom! That would certainly offer many of today's gamers an interesting role playing experience with a uniquely transformed perspective. Looking forward to possible news about destructable buildings to complement the picture. :)

The Dragons are a rare (and often believed to be extinct) Akaviri race of large reptilian beasts capable of flight and the ability to create fire. Little is known about them beyond their remarkable intelligence and ability to communicate with Nedic visitors to Akavir years ago. There are at least two subspecies, or varieties of dragon; red and black...

I was wondering whether we would find dragons sleeping in a lair of some kind. I assume we won't but it would add to the verisimilitude of the setting.

As I think on it I don't remember ever finding any creatures other than people sleeping in any of their games.

Finding a dragon siting on a clutch of eggs would be really cool.
