Wondering if the members here are not too busy...

I was basically just wondering if anyone here who really knows the Lore well could assist in the realization of a mod. I do not have the skillset to do this. Like not even close but I figured the people here would be by far the most qualified to actually do this. Might be a bit of a nightmare.

Make a working Journal that makes Quest markers unecessary.

The actual thread is in the Mod forums here http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1340107-req-journal-overhaul/

The reason I would consider the people here the most qualified is because you could make the journal a real piece of art. Descriptions for quests and their stages from Lore masters themselves would make the quests that much more interesting. (refrain from the MK-isms and all the really heavy concepts lol would confuse most people I think)

I understand I am asking a lot and probably can't do the work myself ( I dunno how and I don't really have the time). But for those who do this would be a much appreciated mod by quite a few people.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Chime in if you are interested.

So you're suggesting something like Morrowind's Journal? No quest markers, but you didn't really need them. For example: it would tell you that you had to do to "Place A" and swim southwest to find a camp and they guy you seek will be there.

Similar but more organized. Morrowinds journal could get messy. It did have a good deal of detail though which was nice.

Like the Quest Journal from Tribunal?
I have to be honest with you. It has been quite some time since I played Morrowind so the specific ins and outs of Tribunals Journal eludes me. If you follow the link I provided in the first post it should give you some gist of what I am asking for. i will post it here anyways though.

Probably something that is similar to a combination of Morrowinds information with Oblivions presentation. Then of course improvements.

The journal would update at different quest stages with just barely enough information for someone to fairly easily get to the next stage.
It should have the following features imo. Remember feel free to add.

-It should give you the name, day of reception(Morndas, Last Seed 21 for instance) and location of the questgiver.

-You should be able to look back through the various stages of the quest

-you should be able to look at past finished quests and all their quests stages

-Quests should provide information that is pertinent to completing the quest with feasible directions. An example of this would be as follows. "Given the information derived from X there should be a switch behind X's tomb." stuff like that. be sure to apply Occams Razor wherever necessary.

-possibly a HOT quest category that only has maybe the last 10 quests or so you recieved in it.

-A current quest category

-make sure when you open books to recieve information the quest updates AFTER you close it.

-a separate category for Radiant quests. Radiant quests might be odd but they usually give you enough information to get the job done. Idk how this would be dealt with other than quest markers. I am hoping someone can remedy that lapse on my part.

Ideas?

I'll restate what I posted there only smaller:

I don't see how you can do it with radiant quests, and perhaps equally important how are you going to deal with the extra dialogue that would be required, or are you just going to use the journal for directions? If so, how are you going to handle updates to the journal?

This is why I am asking opinions lol. As was stated in my first post. I actually do not have the Skill set to do this. This is why my mod idea was a request. The Journals primary purpose is so that Quest markers are not the ONLY thing to rely on when trying to do a quest. The information given to us in the Journal is sorely lacking. It is incredibly time consuming trying to do any quests without markers. So if this mod does that then i am fine with just that.
