Wood elf names?

Post » Thu Sep 26, 2013 6:44 pm

I've never played a wood elf before, so i need some lore friendly female wood elf names, both a first name and a last name.

I'm clueless about their naming traditions, do they still use such last names as 'nightdale' or 'shadyrun'?

Please help, thank you! :)

From what I've noticed Wood Elf names are the closest to Tolkien elvish names. So you could look for a name in a setting where elven names follow tolkien naming conventions, or find a name generator.

I wouldn't give her a last name since the vast majority of Bosmer (actually every bosmer I've ever seen since I've played Morrowind) don't have last names.

I'm interested in this as well. MY next character will be a Bosmer Valenwood Ranger.

I can't help it. Sorry. My Bosmer in Morrowind was named Noodles Aplenty.

I use translators sometimes. I was going to translate my Bosmers name into Elvish, but "Amber" didn't have a word and "yellow rock" came out to Malina Gon, which didn't work for me, even together...but Morning Song ( Morningsong) was Amrun Lina...which I thought rather pretty Amrunlina.

I look up names when I can't think of one that suits the character and keep listings of ones that I like the "sound" of for future reference.

Since I'm very bad making up names myself, I started picking suitable random names from UESP.

My current character is a female Bosmer called Laenafil.

I think the woodelves are cool and what not, but damn their daily power blows! Do people actually like that ability, is it even useful? i played a woodelf once and never used it... I just never had the chance... plus if there was any animal around me to help at the time it ended up being a fox or a bunny. (singular... not plural... they died so quickly)

thus concludes my short rant.

It is, you've never heard of Sharty Soily-Pants of the Shire? He hails from the Brown Bottomses clan :P

You can use this generator to create names for your Elder Scrolls characters : http://tamriel-rebuilt.org/?p=modding_data/ngen
