Woodcutter's Axe in Whiterun : V

I'm trying to chop some wood outside the Bannered Mare, but I can't find a woodcutter's axe. Where can I get one?

Not sure about in Whiterun specifically, but you can get one in Riverwood by the mill. There's a grindstone next to a table where the axe should be.

You could probably buy one in one of the shops there.

The nearest location seems to be in Riverwood- two of them, one in Faendal's house and the other on the wood chopping block near Gerdur's mill.

Ok, I accidentally stole something. But... they won't let me pay the bounty; they're just all trying to kill me, even the civilians!

Ok, I accidentally stole something. But... they won't let me pay the bounty; they're just all trying to kill me, even the civilians!

Don't know if it works, but try talking to a Whiterun guard. He should try to arrest you, pay your bounty and head to Riverwood.
Or just sneak off into Riverwood like a boss, pick up the axe, and then run like the wind.

Ok, I returned to Riverwood, and nobody seems hostile to me. Weird.

But, I still can't find that damned axe! I was told it should be close to the block, but I can't seem to find it.

There should be an axe on the table by the mill,or somewhere around the table on the ground.
At least thats where I've allways found one.

Ok, found a youtube video that visually showed me where the axe was.
