That you are not abandoning the development of The Elder Scrolls single player serie for PC and consoles so I can rest easyer as so far nothing was talked about at E3 2015.

Welcome to the forums.

No one at Bethesda is going to answer this question in the thread, that is not how these things are done.

But you may rest assured that Bethesda is not going to walk away from a profitable franchise. They won't announce anything regarding Elder Scrolls VI, until they are ready, perhaps E3 2016.

Why do people keep thinking Bethesda is going to abandon TES? I don't understand. What on earth could possibly put this idea into people's heads?

There is no evidence, absolutely no evidence whatsoever, that Bethesda or Zenimax has any intentions of discontinuing the Elder Scrolls. There is no reason to believe they have ever considered the idea. There is no reason for them to want to consider the idea. They have no motivation to discontinue the series.

But I'm sure this won't stop some people from continuing to work themselves into a hysterical fit over the imaginary prospect of the Elder Scrolls ceasing to exist. Some people just aren't truly happy unless they have something to worry about, I guess.

Even if you could ask someone at Bethesda Game Studios about the future of TES (like, for example, if it will exist and even so, will it have a voiced protagonist as well), how would you possibly go about doing that without coming off as rude, disrespectful and ungrateful? They're probably not going to talk about TES VI before 2018, if not before 2019.

There's people who assume or fear "MMO equals end of singleplayer games" in a series known to be singeplayer. Basically, if World of Warcraft meant no more rts Warcraft games and Star Wars the Old Republic means no more Knights of the Old Republic, than "obviously" ESO means no more singleplayer rpg TES games like Skyrim or Morrowind. Of course, it is rarely mentioned that Final Fantasy has two MMOs in the main series and that has not stopped the continuance of singleplayer Final Fantasy games, so it doesn't necessarily mean that ESO is intended to replace singleplayer rpg sequels in that regard. I think it's just lack of reassurance that has people frustrated more than anything else, kind of like how the introduction of a voiced protagonist in Fallout has people concerned about the playable status of "The Ten" races for TES VI.

It's also just expected that TES VI is going to happen.
