Anyone know what Alduin and Sahloknir were saying to each other during the main quest?

I don't know - but I'd bet that when Alduin says, "Sahloknir, kri dor jarre" (that's probably not spelled right, not at that point in game on any toon right now....) he's saying, "Sahloknir, kill the human" - this is right after Alduin makes his snide remark about the Dovahkiin not even knowing the tongue....

Anyone know what Alduin and Sahloknir were saying to each other during the main quest?

Here's a transcription:...

---------------------
Alduin: Sahloknir! Ziil gro dovah ulse!

Alduin: Slen Tiid Vo!

Sahloknir: Alduin, thuri! Boaan tiid vokriiha suleyksejun kruziik?

Alduin: Geh, Sahloknir, kaali mir.

Alduin: Ful, losei Dovakiin? Zu'u koraav nid nol dov do hi.

Alduin: You do not even know our tongue, do you? Such arrogance, to dare take for yourself the name of Dovah.

Alduin: Sahloknir, krii daar joorre.

Sahloknir: Fo....

-------------------

I'll leave translation to someone with a better grasp of the vocabulary.

I like how the ancient nords are honouring Khajiit, redgaurds and even elves. Funny people reference ancestors, then it turns out they had no problem with other races in skyrim, even honouring them with dragon walls.

Cool, but I always wondered, what is Alduin saying if you hang around at the very beginning of the game, at Helgen? He says a few sentences that I'm guessing aren't very epic, like "I'll kill you all!" or "Stupid humans can't hurt me!" I find it annoying there's no subtitles except for actual Dragon Shouts.

Not only is this the most badass post on the forums right now, dude you need to submit this to UESP. That's awesome. It would be better if you had a catalog of where each one was, and what the shout was that it went into.

Fantastic job though.

The shout you get from every wall is in bold. With the info found on UESP, it would be easy to locate the wall in game.

Yep, I was translating them but gave up when I found that out. :/

I didn't get this from the strategy guide. I don't have one. I wrote the the walls down during my playthroughs (in draconic) and used the uesp.net dictionary to translate. If I had perfect translations, they wouldn't be so rough at times. :P

These two are interesting. Any clue where they might be found in-game?

The first one, Tah, should be found outside Ysgramor's Tomb.
The second one, Nir, at Volunruud.
However, I played several characters now, and I don't think the words are fixed to a specific location. Instead, there are three fixed locations for every shout (e.g. Northwind Summit, Valthume and Volunruud for Aura Whisper), and the one you visit first has the first word, the second one the second, and the third one the third. This makes the whole "here lies" deal a bit pointless, but oh well. :sadvaultboy:

Here's a transcription:...

---------------------
Alduin: Sahloknir! Ziil gro dovah ulse!

Alduin: Slen Tiid Vo!

Sahloknir: Alduin, thuri! Boaan tiid vokriiha suleyksejun kruziik?

Alduin: Geh, Sahloknir, kaali mir.

Alduin: Sahloknir, krii daar joorre.

Sahloknir: Fo....

-------------------

I'll leave translation to someone with a better grasp of the vocabulary.

Alduin: Sahloknir (Phantom Sky Hunt)! Ziil gro dragons ulse!
Alduin: Flesh Time Opposite! (I assume this is the shout to ressurect Sahloknir?)
Sahloknir: Alduin, overlord! Boaan time did not kill the ancient king of power? (a lot of interpretation here)
Alduin: Yes, Sahloknir, champion allegiance. (my loyal champion, perhaps?)
Alduin: So, is (this) Dovahkiin? I koraav no from dragon of hi.
...
Alduin: Sahloknir, kill that mortal.

The only part I'm sure about is the last line. Really a lot of words missing, or Alduin has a heavy accent. :P

Know what the backside of the dragonstone says?

Sadly, not really. I can't come up with anything better than uesp.net

Alduin: Flesh Time Opposite! (I assume this is the shout to ressurect Sahloknir?)

That's correct.

Great! I only translated some of them myself.
But you translated it all!
Thanks a lot! :tops:

In your first translation:
"DeiNMaaR DO DOVahGOLZ" could be "Keeper of Dragonstone"

"NIMaaR" is "itself", "GeiNMaaR" is "oneself".
so "DeiNMaar" as "keep+self" then it might be "keeper"
I found a reference on a wiki, and that makes sense.
(sorry my grammar is bad)
