[REQ] Working Lucky 38 Casino. (Plus Expanding The Strip)

Post » Fri Jul 02, 2010 9:22 am

I don't know if this has been done. But Lucky 38 really needs to open up for business. Working BJ, Slots, and Roulette, filled with NPC's, music, lighting, etc.
Also, someone needs to just make the Strip a generally better place. With inclusion of

-No barriers

-Shopping mall

-More shows and entertainment

-Working restaurants (sit down and someone will take your order type working)

-More quests (Casino heist FTW :celebration: )

-A New casino or two (probably super hard)

-Many more NPC's strolling about (again, probably hard)

So is it possible to do any of these? Because right now I think the Strip has so much more potential. :sadvaultboy:

I would jump for joy at this Quest alone.

Someone did remake the Lucky 38 though. -----> http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=36632

As far as I know, everything on your list would be harder than adding more random wandering NPC to the strip(your last request). As most of them involve complex scripting/voice acting or large amounts of work/time.

More wandering NPCs is insanely hard.

Also, you can't remove the Strip barriers properly. Check out the mod One Strip. Then you'll see what I'm talking about.

I'm sure there's a way to bypass the NPC spawning issues, it's just that nobody has found out how yet. :meh:

I don't see how more wandering NPCs would be hard though. Just stick some more generic NPCs in their appropriate cells for the Strip and BAM!
Then again, I know diddly squat about NPCs and such.

there is someone working on making a seamless strip. but there seem to be some problems with the "cell borders" where the gates used to be. Npc's still disappear as if they go through a door wile crossing the borders between the cells.
It's not as easy as just removing the gates so it seems....

"October 26"

Looks like that guy abandoned it. :c What a shame. Looked like he was making progress.

I think that if the individual sections of Vegas were filled in with more to do, and more places to go, the gates between the sections wouldn't be as jarring.
