[WIP] World Eater Beater

I promised my followers I'd do this if my Nanosteam video broke 1k views in 24 hours, which it did, so let's do this yo.

World Eater Beater

Let's face, Alduin as a bossfight was an anticlimix to the max. By the time we faced down the foul wyrm, we were not only a walking tank, but flanked by three legendary glowy heroes. All he did was shout some meteors at us, and then we punched him, and then he exploded.

Alduin was, in short, disappointing. Let's fix that.

World Eater Beater is a boss fight overhaul similar in style to my Morrowind mod "Versus Vivec". It takes an existing boss, and actually makes them not svck.
"But trainwiz" you say to me, "Dont ther be alredy mod what make the Alduin strong". Well the thing is, they usually just beef up his health and make his attacks ridiculously overpowered. That's not my goal. My goal is to completely rescript and redo Alduin into something worthy of the title of "World Eater".

So, the fight is now divided into five stages, each stage different in style from the last, with a host of new attacks, locations, and general world screwing-up.

Stage 1: "His strength is weakening!" said nobody smart ever

It’s basically a big long bullet hell battle against Alduin. I’ve slowed him down somewhat, but his meteors are now a lot more numerous and about 5x more damaging, but in return they’re much much slower.

Alduin’s basic shout attack is this off color sorta invisible fire ball, if it hits it does an truckload of damage, but it’s very slow. If it misses however, it splits into four projectiles that go off in different directions, or eight if he’s on the ground. While messing with the right look for this, it instead ended up as this big fire wave on the ground, which is actually pretty damn cool.

His melee attacks no longer do any damage. Instead, when he attacks, there’s a little miniature red dot created at the point of attack, after five seconds, this does a massive explosion, which does a fair bit of damage, and staggers the other dragonborns. Of course, this is whenever he does a melee attack, so it can seriously add up, especially since the [censored] can do a shout-melee combo normally, which killed me fast. Keep your distance from Alduin.

Finally, at the end, he shouts himself giant, blasts the other heroes away, and swallows you whole.

Stage 2: The Stomach, AKA Trainwiz hates you

After being swallowed by Alduin, you go falling down into the giant dragon’s stomach, where the fight starts to heat up a bit. Starting off, you have acid, which slowly rises and falls constantly. The acid only does minor damage, but it is everywhere.

While running about Alduin’s stomach, you’ll find yourself chased by a variety of enemies, most prominently the indestructible stomach worm, which will [censored] you up. As mentioned, it hurts you, but there’s no point in killing them, what with their high health, immunity to acid, and general hatred of everything
Did I mention the meteors? While you’re running about, Alduin is eating parts of the world, and down they’ll come in a flaming inferno to kill you. These do the most damage, but are easy enough to dodge, just keep moving.
So yeah, that’s basically the whole premise of stage 2. Dodge meteors, worms, and acid as you run across a giant stomach hitting sensitive bits. Eventually, Alduin will spit you out, into...
Stage 3: World Eaten (WIP)
Giant-sized Alduin sits in the center, calls down huge comets at the player. Meanwhile, the player uses their shouts to dislodge bits of broken Sovngarde onto Alduin (or alternatively, free the other dragonborns).
The arena is somewhat circular, with large islands connected by small bridges and sections. When on small paths, Alduin will attempt to shout paths to pieces, and can destroy parts of the bridges, as well as set them on fire, or ice them over, making them slippery. To counter this, the player can melt the ice with fire related things, put out the fires with ice and wind related things, or use whirlwind sprint to cross broken gaps.
When on islands, Alduin will call down comets. These comets become lodged in the area, sometimes the force of the comet might shatter reality, creating miniature Alduin shades that harass the player. Freeing your fellow dragonborns will cause these shades to lessen. Comets pieces get flung to nearby islands, the player can free them in various ways, which will cause them to rise up and circle Alduin. When circling Alduin, the player can shout at the comet, which will cause it to break orbit, and careen into Alduin, doing damage.

Once enough damage is done, Alduin will fall into the void below, and the world will as well, jumping on his back, we go into
Stage 4: Dragon Surfing (WIP)
As Alduin falls to earth, the player runs around on his backside, dodging bits of Sovngarde as it falls, as well as Alduin's own falling-apart body, whacking what bits he can find, and just screwing up the World Eater as much as he can, until we land. Alduin returns to normal size, for stage 5.
Stage 5: The Big Finish (WIP)
Alduin returns to his normal size, low on health, and no chance of flying.
But... he's desperate now. All his shouts do massive damage, more projectiles spawn from them, and he can shout them off as fast as he wishes.
Of course, so do you now. In a giant fight to the finish, you and Alduin will match voices, and see who will die first (hint: it will probably be you)
So yeah, that's the plan. Will probably be done this month if things go as planned.

Question if I may, why are there lampposts in his stomach? Other than that it sounds pretty cool.

There are bits of the previous kalpas inside his stomach, including some remnants of a world where pseudo-aetherial permanent casting pylons were used as regular lighting vessels on roads.
