World's luckiest Low Level Leezard!

This was just amazing...first, he's going through one of the mine dungeons with the most iron ore deposits I've yet seen, and What to his wondering eyes did appear in the final chest? Spell Tome: Transmute.

Suffice to day he was still spamming it when he got back to town, even walking back while sneaking.

To top that off, I'd been worrying about charging soul gems on this character, since he wasn't going to go for lots of magic schools or anything, and the very next chest he opens...BAM...a soul gem charging weapon!

I'm just afraid he's now used up his total lifetime allotment of serendipity and it will all be downhill from here.

Now a mammoth will spawn in the sky above, killing you instantly and you'll realize that in all your excitement... You haven't saved yet.

I actually found an iron mine where transmute was on a table. It was almost a disappointment because I knew I'd be casting it for a good 15 minutes. I have a few dozen gold ingots lining the floor of Vlindrel Hall now though, sure beats that atrocious carpet.

Ha, nice. Only happened to me once, while I was trying to learn the spell Candlelight, as I planned on going back to Blackreach soon, and needed something instead of a torch. So while I was selling all my junk to a General Store, I almost sold my Candlelight book, which I had forgotten about. Needless to say, I was one happy Dovakiin.

Your story is better though.

That tome should be harder to obtain than next door to Whiterun imo, I didn't really like it being there, too easy and perhaps needs to be an expert/master spell.

That's the Halted Stream Camp near Whiterun, where the transmute spell tome and iron ore veins are. I remember when I first stumbled into that place and spent next half hour making gold ore.
