Here is a list of some of the things I would need:
Trees:
*Pine
*Fir
*Birch
*other trees found in Nordic environments
*different kinds of bushes and plants
*different kinds of grass
World objects:
*Rocks
*Nordic style Houses
*furniture
*vehicles (to be used as wrecks in the apocalyptic landscape)
*miscellaneous stuff.
Creatures:
*Nordic animals and monsters.
Some very high quality stuff would be available by porting stuff from other games, for example Oblivion and Skyrim. But since I don′t want to break any laws in making my mod, I need to ask for official permission from Bethesda to port the stuff over. Could it be possible that Bethesda could give the modding community permission to port some or all of the world objects, creatures, terrain textures, etc. from one Bethesda game to another. Of course the condition to these ports would be that the users own copies of all the games.
If porting proves to be impossible, then could Bethesda publish different kinds of "Tool Packs" for the modding community? Here′s some ideas for packs that could be published for free or for a small price.
*Nordic terrain and world objects pack: containing all sorts of Nordic stuff needed for worlds set in said terrain.
* Japanese and Chinese (East Asian) World Objects and terrain pack
* West European World Objects and terrain pack
* Central European World Objects and terrain pack
*East European World Objects and terrain pack
* Russian World Objects and terrain pack
* Arabic World objects and terrain pack
* African World objects and terrain pack (packs would include creatures and animals of said region)
* Middle and South American World objects and terrain pack
* Sci-fi objects and creatures pack (different kinds of robots etc.)
* Fantasy objects and creatures pack (dragons, and other creatures)
* Medieval Objects pack
* Renaissance Objects pack (weapons, houses, objects)
...etc. etc.
These packs would be available for a price, I′m sure many mod groups would appreciate getting some high quality stuff for their mods. The license should allow limited distribution or sharing inside the mod group, so not all of the mod group members have to buy the pack. Perhaps allow the pack to be distributed to 10 or so members within a mod group, so for example, if the mod group leader buys a pack, he can distribute it to the members of his team. Needless to say, in order for such mods to work, the users would have to buy the packs, but if the price is reasonable, then it might work.
