worried about the 360 version of BRINK

Post » Mon Jan 10, 2011 4:32 am

I finally got a new xbox 360 so I am getting BRINK for that again then I find out that BRINK on 360 will require day 1 patch since it has graphic glitchs and whatnot. Im worried I hope this doesnt turn into a bust. Maybe Im worrying to much. I fear when people read that it may sway them away from BRINK.

OMFGTWBBQ!!! One day patch...OH NOES!! Like it's going to matter? You have to install the game anyways...Just think of it as buying a used game.

It's all a gamble. There is the off chance that it could bust, just like every other game. But if you really love someone, then you'll see past all imperfection. Same goes for video games in our society, no?

I never have to worry about that. I'm the kind of person that limits my self to 4-5 games at a time. That way I can spread the love evenly!

So you don't have to install games on the 360? Well..Luckily I'm the way I am...As described in the above sentence...

Graphics don't make a game, gameplay makes a game

Framerate drops, in-game objects not rendering, visuals glitching which will prevent you from seeing the enemy.

The list goes on and on.

Day One patches have been around in many big-name titles:

Halo: Reach
Battlefield: Bad Company 1 and 2
Call of Duty: MW2 and Black Ops
Burnout Paradise
Fallout 3

the list goes on and on..

Day 1 patches are expected. Between the 2-3 weeks of production time and the release date, I'd be suprised if there weren't bugs found in the game that needed to be ironed out.

Well, in the context the statement was used, graphics, as in how the game "looks" doesn't matter. But yes, that stuff can seriously [censored] up your game!

If my PC was beefy enough I would be getting BRINK for it. Alas, I am saddled with a crap PC and a 360. So heres hoping the graphics are up to par and there is little to no glitches.

I tend to agree with this viewpoint. Plenty of older games with low graphic quality by comparison are considered classics for good reason: the gameplay was good. Modern games with modern technology have a new expectation to have high graphics quality. But as I posted previously on another thread, at least the devs aren't waiting for gamers to complain about it. I'll take a day 1 patch over a week of putting up with people complaining about the issue.

True, BUT the evolution in game play should also include graphics especially when they want to charge 60 fricking bucks for a game.

There's always (not literally always, but quite often) a few little bugs that are found right before the game goes public. Nothing to worry about, just business as usual.

And u have to think of it like this . They found glithes and have made a patch to fix these problems as soon as possible for first day buys. That says we want this game to run as we designed it to and we aren't going to wait for you to find problems, we are going to countinue to look for and fix problems as we discover them.

I been planning on how Im going to make my character, security faction, medium build, tattoos, a facial mask with assault rifle and pistol. As a soldier class. Hopefully this day 1 patch addresses things and that there is no more problems.

Amen brotha! Being an avid Call Of Duty player, I have heard my fair share of complaints regarding glitches and other in-game issues. A day 1 patch is definitely okay in my books!!

The patch is absolutely insignificant, its most likely all minor stuff they already had a fix for but sent out the build for certification already. The game is fine, there is almost no visible difference between multi-platform games these days, the PC being the exception. Anyone who says other wise is just trying to flame the other platform. :flamethrower:

It's actually a conspiracy against xbox 360 users, as soon as you insert the disc you have ten seconds to count to 3 before you xbox 360 melts :flamethrower: i see atleast 1/3 resembling a white and green pizza
