Mine is more of a social response, but I'm afraid that they are going to listen to the fans and then loyal fans will complain that they shouldn't put the aspects the asked for in the game. But even worse, everybody will love it and it will no longer be for TES fans and become a mainstream game. or maybe the game breaking as I put it in the tray.

You start off in a prison cell

That is all too viable of a scenario.

Imo, the actual, non-sarcastic worse case scenario is that TES V's game world is linear, like that of most RPGs. What I mean is, instead of a gigantic map to explore like every TES before it (except arena), we can only fast travel to small locations on the map and cannot explore the land between those locations, like in Dragon Age.

That would be truly horrific, and chances are good I wouldn't buy it. But luckily, Bethesda would never do that.

OP here, and although I haven't contributed much to this thread, I've enjoyed reading all of your responses.

Here's another nightmare of a game that I thought up of.

The game starts with Jiub saying "You better do what they say". The camera stays on Jiub, and you can hear footsteps and a faint Imperial voice saying "Get yourself up on deck" and the sound effect of the door opening. The Imperial then walks back to Jiub and says "The Emperor said that your duty was so important that he wants us to take you past the River Odai directly to Caius Cosades. But we've heard that some of our boys need backup fighting some bandits at a cave along the way so we'll have to make a pit stop. You look like you're handy with a blade so you can tag along if you want."

Upon arriving at this cave, you and the rest of the crew aboard the ship fight a bunch of bandits but at one point, rocks come crashing down upon you, separating you from the main battle. Upon slowly crawling out of the rubble you see a person tied to a rope hanging upside down. "By Azura! By Azura! By Azura! I'm going to be saved!" Coming closer to the Adoring Captive Fan will trigger his next dialogue..."I've seen you...You are the one from my dreams!"

This isolated area of the cave is an armory. All kinds of different weapons and scrolls are there for the taking each just waiting to be used to silence the Bosmer. You are faced with the first (and only) moral choice in the game.

After finishing the cave tutorial sequence and arriving in Balmora, the rest of the game is a linear story of Jiub trying to fulfill his quest as the one that saved Morrowind from the Cliff Racers. You and your trusty Winged Guar can take to the skies and slay the accursed beasts, or you could build your Cliff Racer Whispering skill and eventually become their lord and master. All the factions are unjoinable, and trying to do so will result in everybody in the game losing all their disposition toward you for getting side tracked so easily when you have work to do.

It's an mmo that you can't play for the first three days due to the server being down because of too many people tyring to play the game.

There is no way an mmo would top "The Elder Scrolls V (starring Mel Gibson)"

The game opens with a Ronald Reagan looking character giving a speech declaring a new effort on the war on skooma, then turns to you and starts you on your main quest to gather the materials and personnel required to create an anti-skooma PSA.

or...

You start as a young Khajiit in a cave, where you do different tasks while growing up. No one is allowed out of the cave, but you're father does anyway against the Shaman's wishes. The Shaman tells you that your father is as good as dead, yet your curiosity (you are a cat after all) leads you to the archives where you read the journal of the first cave shaman Ri'Bassa who had saved the members of the village from the end of the world, by quickly getting them into a nearby cave, (cave 101) which his family had kept stocked in case the events of the K'Sharra prophecies ever came to pass. However, the world was not destroyed as was imagined, it turns out some [censored] showed up and punked the village by making the signs of the prophesy come true, but the current shaman was to absorbed with power to let the people out, but you fight your way out anyway to go look for your father.

I would be so sad...

I liked Dragon Age... kinda. I got 90% of the way through, and then I went "TES is better" and went back to playing Oblivion. I wish TES had some of Dragon Age's environmental feeling though. The creepy places felt creepy, the forests felt large and like you could get lost in them, the towns felt unique and interesting.

Meh, I liked Dragon Age, but I never liked the towns, never thought the forests were that big, but I did like the feeling of playing. I thought it matched Oblivion but not Morrowind.

Worst Case Scenario: The Elder Scrolls V: Tamrielic Idle ( A American Idle Spoof)

You are a judge and must listen to all characters like Maiq, Addoring fan, Uriel, Big Head, and other important characters singing songs by Miley Cyrus, Justin Beiber, and rick Astley.

I'd rather play "The Elder Scrolls V: Vuvuzela" then play a TES game that has characters singing Justin Beiber songs. I don't even hate him for the conventional reasons, I just don't like him.

I like the idea of a show about lethargic Americans.
"What are you going to sing for us today?"
"Nothing, I can't really be bothered."

Tamrielic Idle would be a pretty bad game though. TES is about escapism, but refusing to ever leave the house or do any work is too much like my own life.

The game's soundtrack being misplaced with the "Top 100 Rap songs of the past week" :run: :dmc: ...or..."Saturday Night Fever's Soundtrack" :intergalactic:

Edit: Actually a lot worse than those soundtracks would just be Justin Bieber's album.... :flamethrower:

Worst Case Scenario: You wake up in a cave, naked, with Martins ghost, telling you that you are the rightful Emperor of Tamriel. But first, you must collect four items in order to create a portal to the Imperial City to stake your claim, because the door on the way out of the cave says [INACCESSIBLE]. But the items which you need to find are inside the cave somewhere. The items are: a severed leg, and you are the only body in the cave, living or dead, and when you sever it you are stuck with 1 Athletics and 1 Acrobatics, an apple, the cave has no sign of any apples by the looks of it, but you eventually find one after taking three hours real time getting to the bottom of the cave with your one leg, and taking a further six hours tto get back up as it turns out to be an apple of burden, which has the weight of a full daedric armor set, the heart of Sheogorath, you are bewildered as to how to get this but suddenly Sheogorath teleports to you and has a heart attack and dies, letting you get his heart, and finally the head of the adoring fan, and then suddenly he comes crashing through the roof of the cave shouting "By Azura! By Azura! By Azura! Its the Grand Champion! And he is naked! JACKPOT!", you enjoy stuffing his mouth with sand and strangling him and laugh at his attempts to break free, all the while Martin shouting "MAKE HIM SUFFER! MAKE HIM SUFFER AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAA!" You finally sever his head with your Iron Dagger and place it on a plate and light all the candles that surround it putting the other items with it, as you enter the portal the adoring fan respawns and jumps onto you. When you come out the other side of the portal you and the Adoring Fan are like Siamese twins. And you finnd out that he is actually a Daedric Prince and has opened portals in the city, spewing out thousands of adoring fans. The game installs software that doesnt let you exit the game or turn off your computer, even by the plug socket. You kill yourself. All the while the game continues. Chanting By Azura, By Azura, By Azura, By Azura...

You wake up in a large, lush forest. You stand up and start walking in what ever direction you want. After walking for 5 minutes you start to here a odd person singing far behind you. You ignor it and continue to walk in whatever direction you choose. Suddenly the singing gets louder and you realize what it is. To your horror this song is non-other than Justin Bieber. The words " Baby Baby Baby OOOHH, you said you would always be mine" get louder and louder. Suddenly, Justin Bieber is standing in frount of you. The game ends.

Bethsada is bought out by Activision. That would be my worst nightmare.

*snip*

I'd have to agree this would be the worst possible thing.

Just curious, but why does everyone hate the idea of multiplayer so much? I am not for it, but I would take it over Mel Gibson any day.
