Worship

Post » Fri Feb 21, 2014 8:38 am

So in Skyrim and the Elder Scrolls universe in general, there are a lot of deities. From the Divines to the Daedra to Sithis and even the more obscure individual cultural gods/goddesses. I was just curious who does your character/characters worship, if any, and why?

None really, she accepts they are all out there. But for the most part she just goes her way, asking for their blessings when she needs it. Knowing if they didn't approve of her actions, choices she wouldn't receive them (she keeps her Daedric items in the basemant... in a wooden chest, well except for Azura's star which she does use at times)

My current war priest worships Kyne. Usually it depends on what kind of character I'm playing. My assassins worship Sithis. My vampires worship Molag Bal.

Put it this way, the 9 divines are the main gods. Think of the
Deadra as the opposite and that they are there just to be there. Theyre evil. Vivec and almelexia were man gods, and they have lots of mini, demi, and just all sorts of variations of gods and man gods.

On a side note, i find it a disappointment that i saved ur town from a dragon, saved the world, wiped out the oldest most powerful vampire clan in skyrim, i am dragonborn, saved solsthiem, annnddd put peace to the lands. Not even mentioning all my leadership roles. The least somebody could do is bow down and worship me. But no, the guard says "let me guess, someone stole your sweet role?" Like i couldnt take ur head off in one swipe of my axe.

What? The Nine Divines are a product of Cyrodiil. Every province has their own racial pantheon.

And the Daedra aren't evil.

Sithis, while acknowledging the Daedric Princes. The Divines are unworthy of thy presence.

My Stormcloak battlemage is a kind of born-again Talos worshipper.

My huntress I created to be a descendant of Sai. She follows the old gods, but they kind of screwed her family over, so she also has an affinity for Hircine as protest.

My Dunmer hates all the gods for abandoning the Dunmer people.

The rest don't bother much about the gods at all.

The Daedra, evil? Nah, merely chaotic and incredibly petty. You can't constrict them to mortal moral alignments.

The nine divines are only used when I need a cure. I bow to Lord Molag Bal and the Dread Lord himself.

So I guess you're one of those that believe there is no such thing as evil.

But for someone that does acknowledge the idea and looks at the subject with a moral oriented view, some of the Princes definitely are cruel and despicable.
