AI wise, Dogmeat. First few seconds in having him travel with me, immediately starting wandering off into some other direction. Dismissed him instantly.

Best depiction of a rock award goes to Preston.

Preston and Danse are just dull slabs.

I just really liked how he kept telling me what a hero and a good guy I was for rebuilding the Minutemen whilst me and Cait went around extorting money from people and committing mass murder.

AI-wise?

They're all kind of crummy in their own special way.

The most annoying has to be Preston. The only character I take as a companion, (after doing the Minuteman quests), just to drop him off at the farthest dump settlement I can find.

I didnt even consider Preston as a companion when I voted.. I always send him off to some godforsaken place to be forgotten about.

Preston is fine as a companion, but annoying as a mandatory radiant quest giver. Strong is annoying because he dislikes everything except for killing.

Gets in your way, gets spotted, jumps the gun in fights, hates half the things I do - yep, my least favorite companion is all of them.


If I want their Perk, I'll grab them, labour along under the playstyle they force upon me until I have it then ditch them without looking back.


Companions are just a really annoying means to and end for me.

This. Preston isn't a bad character or companion. Bethesda for some weird reason thought it was be cool for him to give us quest we can't refuse. Which isn't a knock on Preston as a character but Bethesda for over looking something anyone could have told them would get annoying.

That said Preston is easy going to win this. But none of them are bad imo but Strong.

I comeplely forgot about Curie before she become a synth. Anytime I would try to talk to her she would refuse and ask me if I found a doctor like "[censored] I'll get to it when I feel progressing the main story. Hand me a [censored] stimpack already!"
