Every racing game. How riveting is... Nothing?

Sports games, too. I get more excited when I beat a level in Peggle than I do at seeing a group of over-payed jocks hold up an exorbitant chunk of wood, plastic, and metal.

Crysis: a bad cliffhanger. And I say that it is a BAD cliffhanger because it wasn't in any way more important or engaging than mid-level cutscenes.
I actually expected that after the cutscene a loading screen would appear to prepare me for the next level, but instead credits started rolling and I thought "WTF??"
Crysis felt like half a game.
The story never ended.

Dragon age 2.

Easily, choices are ignored and the ending answers nothing, its not a proper ending, just a cliffhanger.

MW2 also gets a vote, then again the entire plot was bad, especially with the US general.

Civ V, since they removed one of the series' best features: playing back the timeline of events once you win. In previous Civs it was always fun to see what went on across the rest of the world behind the fog of war, and without it my Civ V campaign sort of fizzled to a close instead of ending with a bang. Disappointing end to a mediocre game.

Oh my, that's pretty bad. I guess I will really stick to Civ 4 and maybe purchase Civ 5 when it'll be 5-10$.

Alpha Protocol had a pretty awful ending. The whole game was pretty good. I loved anything from it. I was expecting an ending where you learn the consequences of your actions, or you learn what happened to the other important people you dealt with (Or left alive).
But all it was,
Spoiler
was the main character thinking about what his life will be like after all the events he went through while sailing a boat. No words or thoughts about the women he had a strong romance/love with (even if killed before his eyes). .

For me it was Borderlands, definitely. I don't think I stopped being angry over that ending for at least a week afterward.

For X-mas I bought me Far Cry 2 for a couple of €'s and I've been playing it in my spare time. Yesterday I finally finished the game and I was really dissapointed. What a bad ending!!!! It made few to no sence.

Yeah I had some issues with the ending too, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mxy6ZkGHytU

I couldn't agree with you more on that. That is always what i look forward to seeing.

But some other game's ending that i was disappointed with would have to be Borderlands, Fable III, Killzone II, and many others that i can't think of at the moment.

Borderlands was one of the worst. Finding out who the precursors in Jak and Daxter really were was pretty disappointing. But funny as hell.

KotOR. The game is unmatched, but the (good) ending seemed too... "... and they lived on happily ever after." It sort of reminded me of when you win in a Mario Kart cup, with everyone there clapping and cheering and stuff.

Edit: Well that's the ending, I guess finale when you fight Malak is pretty [censored] awesome, but after that (if my memory serves me correctly) you're on a stage or something and everyone is cheering.

Fallout 3 for me. Its the combination of the "route" to the ending, the "choices" to pick before the ending, the actual ending itself, the ending slide that doesn't mean jack to the overall gameplay, and a DLC to serve as a "remedy" for Bethesda's style game that practically butcher Fallout style.

at first the ending to saints row 2 disappointed me, then I found the secret mission ending, that was freaking awesome!

One that I didn't like was RDR. Don't get me wrong, the game was freaking great! It's not the worst ending, but I didn't like how I died in the end, and then I all of a sudden was his kid 15 some years later. I thought they should've made it in to another game here the son goes and tracks down the law officer and kills him. I though that was what the were going to do, so I was kind of disappointed in that sense. Still one of my favorite games though!

Fallout 3.

Oh great, you'll be fine if you go in there, but I have to go in and die because... what? The plot demands it?

Then we get: Oh no, I'm alive, and the great evil I destroyed is apparently still here, having regrouped in record time and I must murder great swathes of them alone, before getting a pat on the back and left standing in my own filth again with no closure whatsoever.

Great game, but the story fell apart about half way through.

Then we have New Vegas, which had a much better story, but still left me confused as to how an army that has helicopters can lose a war against an army that fights with its fists and considers wheeled transport decadent.

I know beat em ups aren't supposed to have proper stories (when in comparison to others) but Soul Calibur's IV epilogues were truly sad, especially when in comparison to Tekken 5's epilogues...

Other than that, FO3s is a bummer and the entire Prototype plot is bad.

KOTOR 2

I agree...the whole game was off. I practically won the final battle using 4 force lightnings and a few saber hits. /yawn/

Opposing Force

I agree with this one too.

I'll have to add Portal, the game ended too soon, and the final boss was basically more of the same...I wanted something big and cool and fast and lots of freefalling for the final battle. I suppose what happens after the final battle was good though...

Spoiler

Metroid Other M.

However, it was expected due to how horrific the overall game was.

Bioshock spoilers!

Spoiler
Ok I loved the ending of Bioshock ("Good" ending that is) but I hated the boss fight with Atlas at the end. It just didn't fit the rest of the game in style and in my opinion was way too easy. I beat him my first try on Survivor (My first time playing it too)

Not to mention the ending of Assassin's Creed 2. What the hell?
