Ouch...Sad but true ( :mohawk: ), but Bethesda has their moments. Morrowind, has excellent writing
No...it really doesn't. It has excellent writing for its
backstory, but its actual plot is rather dull. Most of it is spent doing tasks unrelated to the whole Nerevarine prophesy (Dwemer puzzle cube, delivering a wife to an ashkhan, etc.), dealing with a threat that's only barely alluded to and never shown, to face an antagonist whose entire motivation and characterization is never brought out until the very end.
Really? Because every Obsidian game I've played has disappointed me in terms of their storytelling powers. Whereas Morrowind, Oblivion and Fallout 3 all caught my attention (although I didn't really like Fallout 3 that much, fighting for THAT? Seriously? I felt like I wasted my time).
I've already explained why I didn't care for Morrowind's story. Fallout 3's is just full of so many logical inconsistencies, it's not worth going into. And Oblivion is generally a theme park fantasy world cliche storm. And
none of Bethesda's games thus far has had much in the way of interesting or compelling characters.
