Worst movie EVER

Post » Sun Dec 12, 2010 4:27 pm

Crossroads or something. When I bought it, I had high expectations because of its great box art, but I did find it strange I hadn't heard of it before. I was such a war movie buff at the time I watched about any available movie with that theme. It turned out to be the worst I've ever seen. I think it lasted only six to eight minutes or so before I turned if off. The first bits of dialogue killed it for me. It started with a combat scene that really would make any person blessed with the gift of reason cry. It wasn't even cheesy, it was just nonsense.
Some movies (like horror or sci-fi B-movies from the '50s) are actually so bad they turn funny. Well, this one didn't. It somehow got past that point. It was actually an insult, a total waste of time and money. Enraging it was.
To top that, the whole movie was spoken in French although the backside of the box stated it was about some US infantry outfit in the bocage of Normandy. Really nothing written on the box gave away it was a French one. All text was perfect English. I've seen better reenacting or LARP than this piece of rubbish. The best part is I actually walked a few times straight past it in the shop before finally deciding I should buy it. The irony, the horror.
I wanted to watch it together with a mate. So there we sat in the couch with our pots of popped corn and each a bottle of ale. Can you imagine our faces when we realized our movie night was ruined? That was really an epic double facepalm moment.

My all time Worst Movie Award goes to "Purple Rain".
The girl I was dating when that "movie" came out was a Prince fan. That's how I ended up in the theater watching it.
About half way through (when he puts the motorcycle in the lake), I leaned over and told here I was sick, and we had to leave.
It is the only... (the ONLY) movie I have ever walked out on, or otherwise not watched to the end.

"The Blair Witch Project" is up there too. Yes, I know... it was a spoof movie, but it still made me want to scream obscenities at the TV set.
Shouldn't college educated kids know that when you are lost in the woods, and you come to a stream, you should follow the flow of water. It keeps you from wandering around in circles, and you will eventually come to a road or powerlines... oh, nere mind.
Good to point at and laugh, not much else.

And last, but not least, "Book of Eli".
I watched it once, and at the end as the credits rolled, I felt insulted by it. Haven't watched it again.
The cast was excellent, and the acting too. The script/plot svcked wind.
A good movie for people with a two digit IQ.

Dance Flick

My friend said " Hey you wanna go see this movie? "
"Alright, what is it?"
"Dance Flick"
"Is it one of those [censored] movies like Epic Movie?"
"I don't think so."
"Alright, fine."

I wanted to gouge out my eyes, Oedipus style, with my drink straw.

The Godfather Part 3. ...

A good choice for a worst movie.

A good choice for a worst movie.

Even when agreeing that it isn't a particularly good movie, one has to wonder what kinds of movies has a person seen, and what his criterias are when placing a judgement, if Godfather 3 is the very worst of them. :P

It's a personal preference, of course, but when I saw that vote, I immediately thought "Boy, that guy sure has been picky with his movies." :P

There is quite a lot that can gain the spot of worst movie.

But my contenders would be:

Blade Trinity
Son of the Mask
Eragon
Battlefield Earth
Batman & Robin
The Matrix: Revolutions
Robocop 3
Terminator 3

In my opinion Godfather III was a horrible movie on many counts. A disaster and is a very good choice for a worst movie.

However, Batman and Robin was even worse.

Another one I didn't like at all was "The Village". The plot was subpar and any sense of mystery was totally ruined within the first half an hour.

Fixed.

My biggest peeve with "Eli" is the length that the writers/directors go to in order to make the ending some kind of "message".
The movie is something I would expect to see come out of a studio ran by Pat Robertson, not Warner Brothers...

A few more that have come to mind, I'll just toss out there for kicks:
"Grease"
John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. 'nuff said.

"Kujo". Stephen King is far and away my favorite author. I have read everything he has written that I could possibly get my hands on (even the stuff he wrote under his pen name Richard Bachman).
"Kujo" is probably my least favorite book by him, and the movie butchered the book.
"Pet Cemetery" deserves honorable mention in this thread, as well.

I can't name one without naming some of the other movies I find to be crap as well. So let's get started. Cabin Fever, Tron Legacy (out of respect for the original), Street Fighter: The movie, and last but not least and at risk of being chewed out by some people . . . Predator, I said it. So yeah, there's a few of mine.

Manos: The Hands of Fate.

Don't even watch it out of curiosity. You will regret every second of it, but once you start you can't stop watching.

Seriously, this movie makes every other film mentioned in this thread look like The Godfather.

I thought Cabin Fever got saved by the great joke involving the old man's hunting rifle in that shop they visit before making their way to the cabin. At the final sequence I remembered the dialogue from the beginning and this made me laugh.

Well, I haven't seen it but Im gonna vote for the Facebook movie being the worst ever. I don't see the point of wasting 2+ hours just to see that the owner of Facebook is a thief and a dike.

It was actually pretty good.

Eragon is by the top of my list, it was a huge let down after such an incredible book, they cut soooooo much from the book and completely changed some sections.

Either Eragon The Last Airbender or Get him to the Greek, that movie was not even close to anything remotely funny <_<

Haha, I thought Zombieland was awesome! The perfect zombie/comedy

And The Human Caterpillar, if you don't know, its about a German surgeon who wants to connect three humans head to ass.
