Worst Multiplayer Game In Recent Times | So Many Issues/Bugs

Post » Thu Mar 07, 2013 2:50 am

Just got this game for free with my new Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 and I have to say the multiplayer is downright TERRIBLE. There are a few major issues that need to be adressed:

Bullet Damage
Hit Detection
Sound Lag
General Lag

I am not sure if these are each individual issues or one issue which results in all of them. I can play the game completely maxed out with good FPS since I OC'ed my card to 1.15Ghz, so this is not a gpu related issue. On servers where I get 50-60 ping I still have these issues and when I join servers with 100+ ping the issues are also persistent.

Bullet damage, hit detection, sound lag seem to all be related and result in miserable gameplay. I can empty 2-3 full clips into enemies and they will turn around, shoot 2 rounds into me and kill me.

If an enemy is shooting at ME it takes a good 2-3 seconds for the sound to carry over and by then I am already dead. Someone can literally be shooting behind me and I will not hear it at all. Following being killed, I get to enjoy a cinematic killcam which also has extremely delayed sound. The killcam gun sounds will be delayed a good 1-2 seconds and will carry out past the killcam video clip for 2-3 seconds.

This game combines the hit damage from Medal of Honor with the netcode bullet lag from BF3 on a bad day. To me the game is unplayable 80% of the time.

Is this something that is going to be fixed in the future? If not, there is no reason to put any time into the game. I wish I sold it on Ebay and kept the $50.

Oh and there are still hackers, played for an hour or two and ran into 1 confirmed already.

I have reported the sound bug, but no one seems to care...

My interpretation of the bug, is that the sounds are muffled, i.e it sounds like you are being shot from across the map, but in fact, someone is 1 meter behind you...

Are you sure you're shooting on the enemy's body? I haven't noticed any hit detection problems even in 150-170 ping servers. About the killcam, I agree. It's really inconsistent. Sometimes it's almost accurate, sometimes it is barely understandable. Anyway, apart from the broken killcam and a few minor bugs, the multiplayer is really great.

General Lag

On the map Museum, my framerates are really unstable, I've had my FPS drop to under 25FPS, making the game feel like a slideshow, it's the only map where it's this bad, next in line would be Chinatown, but the lag isn't even close to the one on Museum.

Had the same type of lag on museum.. I turned down the 'Texture Resolution' settings from very high to medium and the game never lagged again..

Yeah I am sure it is hitting the body and I am getting hit markers like I would expect when hitting someone. I seem to be getting a trifecta of the worst gameplay issues. I ask others in the server and then they go shut up noob, but it is definitely something wrong with the game. I am tempted to buy FRAPS to record & post my experiences on youtube.

You should record a video and upload it on youtube if it's possible. And I'd suggest you to buy Mirillis Action for recording (lag-free recording) Maybe I am lucky but I have faced minimal issues with this game (the broken killcam, general lag which has been fixed)
