I would have to say I just had the biggest foul up of a perfectly planned ambush of a group of Super Mutants. I was outside Diamond City and saw two regular Super Mutants, a Skirmisher and a Suicider. I had laid some frag mines and taken up position across the street from them. I was all set and ready to go waiting for the Suicider to step out into the open so I could drop him with a shot to head from my Sniper Rifle. Well all was going well when suddenly in my field of view, comes running a caravan guard and the trader Cricket. I was a bit irritated because they immediately started shooting which drew all of them towards me. I managed to drop the Suicider before he got to us and the ambush still worked, but not in the way I was hoping. Had been hoping to save some ammo and "lead them" into a kill zone with some of Diamond City's defenses. Instead I wound up down more ammo than I had hoped, a dead caravan guard and a severely wounded Cricket.

Has anyone else had traders or any other NPCs foul up ambushes you set up or just jump right into the middle of a fight without thinking to where you have had to save them?
