Its the cheapest one and its in the middle of the map, its really good for dropping loot every time you pass by.

I love that house. It's way worth it.

Edit:: except Lydia is a creep that spends all her time in my bedroom. Lol.

I guess it depends on your play style. So far I haven't been to any of the other major cities (i keep getting smashed on all the roads that lead to far from Whiterun!), so Breezehome was a good choice for me. I like to store a lot of "useless" loot (like all the skillbooks I've read) so I wanted a home as quick as possible. I scraqed together the 5000k to buy it, and a few dungeons later had enough gold to buy all the decorations.

I really like it. Yeah it's quite small, but it has everything I need for now (I'm level 15). Later on I'm sure a few more chests and wardrobes would be helpful and I can buy another one at a later date if I want to...but seeing as in Oblivion I stucjk with my Imperial Shack for the whole game, I wouldn't be surprised if I don't bother!!

Of course it's worth buying.

If you don't own the container it's NOT safe storage.

That's what the manual says.

At your earliest opportunity buy the house unless you have a really good reason not to live there.

It's basically 5000 gold for storage and next to a Forge, can't beat it. Also for 500 extra gold you get an achemist table.

Sounds like a good investment to me

Plus its right at the main gate, and it got plenty of stores nearby to sell of your loot, not to mention the house looks great, i just love the house and the city, i dont even want to buy any of the other houses.

its my favorite house because what sniger said its by the main gate, every shop is easy to find in the town, the blacksmith tools are close. theres also 3 different blacksmith shops where u can purchase and sell gear or buy ores and stuff. and i also stash all my stuff there.

Yes, middle of the map, smiths and shops all over. Plus when it's decked out it's a nice place. Small weapon rack, book shelves, place to cook. The alchemy table is sweet as well. Besides the second bedroom has made a nice skull closet.
