i am just looking for some input on the worthiness of the AR from DM. i have owned the weapon but ive never really used it as a primary weapon. i am wondering if the weapon is really versatile enough for me to go all the way through Dead Money just to obtain it (and its upgrade). Now i like Dead Money's story and characters but the DLC is the biggest pain the hind end of any DLC for NV. So from those who have really used the weapon extensively with characters who have both high and low Guns skill...is the gun worth it? Now bear in mind that i dont care about stats per say but the general effectiveness and ease-of-use of the weapon.

.308 Ammo isnt all that easy to get in bulk early on but in my experience i end up with tons of it after level 15+ so im not too worried about supplying the weapon. Plus the AP and HP ammos are available for it so that can only be good. Anyways back to the point: Is it worth going through DM for, can it do decently in most situations in the game, does it have any major drawbacks, is it supported by any good perks, etc
