Is It Worth The Bother? And How Do You Get There Any Way

Post » Fri Nov 26, 2010 6:54 pm

I have looking at working towards getting the Auld Lang Syne side quest in order to get the Telsa Armor. I haven't done to much so far, though I have got Arcade Gannon with me and visited the fort and started the white wash quest.

My question to other board members really, is it really worth the bother given how complicated it appears to be to get it. It has taken me several reads of Wikia and Youtube to try and understand how to get to the quest. Though I wouldn't say I am 100% confident I know what i'm doing.

Anyone out there who can put in in plain english for me? Do you have to do all the visits to different locations with Gannon to get the friend points? Which actual quest triggers GANNON to give you Auld Lang Syne?

And like I said is the armor worth the bother? Or am I just banging my head against a brick wall for the sack of it? :banghead:

I've yet to try it, but at some point will just for the information and story, I really dislike most medium - heavy armours apart from metal.

You only need to visit 3 locations and start one of the end faction missions. The remnants and the armor are awesome and the quest isn't hard.

Yeah, the quest is pretty straightforward once you get it and all you have to do is further yourself along the Main quest with Gannon in your party, assuming you took him to multiple areas that initiate unique dialogue.

First off, make sure you reach the point in the main quest, in any of the factions, where you deal with BoS ( with arcade in party ). He will make a comment. At this point you can do several things. Complete white wash with framing Scorpions, enter repconn testing facility, and go to enclave helicopter crash. Not sure on amount of points required but that should be more than enough. Arcade will start the quest then. Tesla is powerful but looks pretty tacky. Good luck.

Mine bugged out and Arcade didn't have the option to join me so I didn't get his armor when I did the quest, but I like APA Mk.II anyway and the Tesla is not that as good.

I love being an unstoppable juggernaut of death and destruction. The armor is not that good anyway.

I will never understand the obsession that some people on this board have with making this game as inhumanly difficult as possible.

OMG!!!! this armor/weapon/perk/item that I don't have to get or wear/use ruins this game for me!!!

Whats nice about his armor is its highly protective[DT 26] but only medium armor. So with jury rigging its not only easy to repair but you'll move faster then with other power armors. Of course either power armor is difficult to damage due to its high DT.
