Worth the cash?

Hi
I've followed Brink since that first picture was released. After reading the posts here I'm a little disappointed to find out the campaign isn't really much of a campaign, more of a MP tutorial..like the original Section 8.
I'm way low on cash but I love games..is it worth the 60 cold hard dollars, or is this a rent/don't bother game. I'm not a huge MP guy but I do love a great co op game...there are so few!
I appreciate the help :)

It's not a mediocre game at all. I'm simply disgusted by the reviews coming out.

It's worth it.

Not a COD guy...check my stats :-) then ask my friends.
I have gotten some response from people on my friends list and they say its pretty decent..so I'm off to get it and hope the co op and MP are fun
thanks for responses...

If your really unsure about it rent it or borrow it from a friend, and if you like it buy it.

That's what I did with BF:BC2 and Timesplitters and I love them to pieces but I also rented some really terrible games, and then never went on to buy them, saving me a lot of money.

Its kind of bland, been playing it at a friends house for several hours. The reviews are spot on for the most part. I dont care about graphics, so they dont bother me. Its just not a very good game IMO. I may rent it, but thats it.

Have you been playing it like a traditional FPS, or have you been using the parkour, and teamwork like an intelligent person. Every person I saw play the game idiotically (not mentioning you) said it was bad, while the people that played Brink like it was meant to be played heavily enjoyed it.

Why? Ok, some give a 8 thats legit but "not a good game" when you are a strategic player? Try again! You have done something wrong.

If your low on cash I would say no not because I hate the game or anything in fact I have two copies its because right now their are so many issues with the game especially alot of frame rate issues it makes it almost impossible to play on the other hand if you get lucky it will probaly be fun. Im one of the ones who am having trouble I tried playing Brink on my laptop I have over the requirments but apparently theirs a conflit between ATI cards and the game and it makes the framerate drop way to low so I say wait don't even rent it yet till its fixed

The negatives from the reviews are spot on to me. Its too linear, not enough strategy, too repetitive, not enough specialization. Just another linear FPS IMO.
