I... would actually like some Horse Armor

I was riding through the pine woods yesterday and thought, "wouldn't my horse look cool with some mail or plate armor on"...

Eh. If it's part of a massive SI-sized expansion than yeah, I'd love it. If it's included in another overpriced rinky-dink DLC though... No.

Ive lost 5 horses this week... Horse armor would definitely be more useful this time. In oblivion horses where useless since you could reach any place by using fortify acrobatics spells. But in skyrim horses can reach places you cant on foot. Still, i wouldnt buy a dlc with just horse armor and nothing more. Maybe it will be best to leave it to modders.

Something tells me that Horse Armor will not be the point of a DLC ever again.

Why bother? Horses are a burden in the game. I've never had one for more than one adventure because the stupid things haven't the sense not to tangle with cave bears and sabre cats.

They also look silly (the animations are pitiful) and are ridiculously slow.

If Bethesda releases horse armor, I hope someone finds a way to beat them to death with it.

Given how horses will constantly run into the fray and challange the first, meanest son-of-a-[censored] they can find without neither fear or hesitation, I do think that in Skyrim, Horse Armor might actually a worthwhile DLC...

Like armor will help when your crazed horse goes rushing after every dragon/troll/bear/giant/mammoth/bandit/mudcrab

I never take horses :celebration: furthermore they are quite ploddy. Slow.

It will be a mod, along with a spell to summon and unsummon them, it always is.

I never use horses. I might make a character build that uses them eventually.

I do not want any small DLC again. I want huge expansions like Bloodmoon and the Shivering Isles. Bethesda promised us that.

Actually it was a huge success in Oblivion.

I would like to have one of these ferocious horses everyone else seems to have bought. Mine is a massive [censored], and runs a mile away in the opposite direction at the first sign of danger. And getting killed while running further away from me, pursued by a saber cat it bumped into in its mad dash to 'safety'.

I don't really use horses either for the sheer fact that they are problematic and not much better than walking/running

Steed Stone >>>>> Horse.

I can run faster and farther than any horse I've met (especially with restoration magic healing stamina).

Too bad I can't give Lydia a piggy-back ride, she runs like old people f**k.

Any sauce for that ?
If it's the case, I suppose it's because a lot of (new to TEST?) people didn't know what mods could do. Or they were on consoles (but that's not enough of an excuse to pay a horse armor for a ridiculous price anyway).

The people who complain about horses... You need to learn when is a good time to get off and walk. I've had the same horse since level 5 and I'm now at level 48. If you are losing horses that often you are doing it wrong, sorry to say.

Youve been on here for 5 years and you don't remember that counteracting the censor is not allowed?

I wouldn't mind decking out Shadowmere in some leather DB armor or something, She can take a hit. to people saying they're worthless, they have sprint and basically, if you're on a horse, Physics be damned. (walk up a 80 degree slope)

It may have sold a bunch, and people are still buying it today. But Bethesda is still living this one down. I really think the Horse Armor was just to real world test delivering DLC's via a service like Live.

You mean, please don't hit me? :P BTW you know what would be even nicer... the ability to enchant that armor.

There should have been a quest, involving some greedy dude and his overpriced horse armor.

The thing I don't like about horses in Skyrim is them charging in to help you in combat.

I dismount my horse, go to deal with some bandits, and then
"Let's do this. LEROY JENKINS!!!!!" - My horse as it runs past me to kill the enemy.

My horse doesn't deserve armour if it's always charging in like that.

I do like the physics defying mountain climbing of horses, though.
