Fortunately, you are not alone. We all want a new avatar/signature. From what I've seen in the past few days though, things are steadily improving, not at a fast rate, but slowly.

Someday soon, we should be able to change our avatars and add in some signatures, hopefully.

We can only hope at this stage, and see what happens as the site develops,

Thanks for the feedback, the site just seems so sterile right now. I guess if it is up to this or working to make C2 better then the game must take priority.

To be honest, while avatars are a must, I personally hope they skip the sigs. Many people have huge sigs and it all adds up to alot of empty space that you have to scroll through.

I believe their will be a size limit for signatures. At Crymod, some of us can only use 1 signature, if it's the full size. Anybody who exceeds the size specified will be most likely informed by staff to resize it, or remove it.

they said would add more features constantly for a few weeks but i haven't seen any improvements other then speed and wouldn't u think avatars/sigs should be one of the first features to add? i'm sure it doesn't even take that long to add it.

They probably haven't coded in the functionality of the system for signatures and avatars just yet, hence why we have the same looking avatars.

I could be wrong though, I have no knowledge on what the web team are doing at the moment. Let's hope their doing something though.

There have been improvements to the website. We can actually bump threads now and it runs much more smooth. I think that those are more important than avatars and signatures, but i do hope they are added soon now.

i first misunderstood the title of your post and this actually got me thinking: there should be visual cusomization to the suit in multiplayer!

They are making changes, but remember they are also working on the game, not putting all their time into a website. As time progresses so will improvements to the website... just give it a little time.

I don't think you need one or the other. I am pretty sure they did not use their game coders to build the website. I am pretty sure this website would be the marketing and costumer service departments job. It might even be a third party.

They allowed color commands for names and type in Far Cry. This allowed for some mild individuality, but they got rid of it for some reason in Crysis. Although I'd really love to have a custom avatar or icon or something, it could get out of hand. The "graffiti" ability in CounterStrike:Source got pretty gross. Maybe with some moderation of the content?

If they do it like how myresistance.net was set up for a PS3 game, this site would be sooooooooooo much better, with sooooooo much more customization

I would have to say you are being impatient. We will probably have to wait for the beta for the customization.

i think its actually good that the site svcks, so that means they're working on something, which my first guess would be, crysis 2 ^^. You should really look at the bright side, if they spend all their time on the site then it would take longer for them to make the game, or it will be worse.

No, not at all. Crytek would have a hired web developer team do the work. Its not like it would detract from the game at all, what we are asking for is like 48 hours of man power at the most.

that would be great!!! maybe your avatar would be linked to ur character in the game becuase you can customize the nanosuit in C2

No, not really, signatures are great for advertising. F.ex I'm in a Swedish clan/team called "SWCT -Swedn's Crysis Team" and i do want other Swedish guys like you too see the sig and maybe join And with signatures it would be a good place to put this info.

Though there should be a restriction of the image size. I'm quite sure they will have it because they had it on the old site though it wasn't automatic, but admins did remove it/ gave you a warning if it was too big ^^
