Would anyone join an Rp like this?

Post » Sat Jan 09, 2010 8:20 am

Hey guys, I was thinking of making a paranormal RP, set in Louisiana (Currently reported to be the most haunted state in America.), and I was wondering if anyone would join. I personally like the idea, but I have a feeling that everyone on here would just assume it was childish, and no one would join. And no, it's not just going to be like one of those children's ghost stories where they go into a haunted house, and catch the ghost, saving the day, i'm going to aim for something more along http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supernatural_(TV_series) lines.

So if anyones interested just say so, and I might create the RP. If you have any questions, or suggestions (Rhymage.), go ahead and post them.

By the way, please don't flame me if this is a bad idea, i've never created an RP before, and I was going for something unique.

Edit: Nevermind what's in this post, go to page 2 to see what this rp will most likely be about.

Interesting, its certainly unique, but I'm not sure how well it'll blend in with the Fallout universe. I mean the setting is brilliant, but not once has the game hinted at supernatural beings in any way, shape or form. However, I think if you somehow manage to link it with a twist of sorts (I've got a few ideas, so if you're actually interested, drop me a PM) then it could prove to be a very unique roleplay.

That would be a very cool idea. I would like to join since I like the whole paranormal stuff. But what Ribbotson said is true, unless you count those aliens as one, then again there not paranormal..... well anyway I got no questions as of yet or ideas that would help. if i did they wouldnt be good.

I used Louisiana as the setting for my last fanfic that tanked, and I've spent a lot of time in the area. I might just join for my love of the state, but it sort of seems... out of place with fallout, unless you use some H.P. Lovecraft stuff, Bethesda's signature.

Yeah, fallout hasn't hinted at paranormality, but Fallout has so far only taken place in a few states, while there are many who have yet to share their story. I'm thinking I might start this up next weekend. For anyone who wants to join, practice your grammar, because I can't stand run-ons and constant misspellings and such, and I'll probably make one of the rules grammar related.

I'm good, right? Most of my typos are because of my "N" key sticking. If you want any help with the landmarks and such, let me know.

Yes, your grammars fine, but i've seen many new members these days, that pretty much post likes this;

'jack aet his sand whitch and went outside then he shot a guy with his missull lawnchair then he saved a prinsess' (Not an actual post, lol.)

Yeah, I couldn't believe it either.

Edit: I'll be sure to PM you about some of the locations before the weekend comes.

I don't know.

There is a place and time for paranormal, and Louisiana is definately a place for that.

I just don't think the ghost thing would work out........

Maybe a ghoul apoc in a bayou town, barricading the house and surviving the nights.

Yeah but thats already been done before, I want to try something new, and unique.

I do agree though, that the ghost thing will probably fail... Hmm.... I'll keep thinking.

Small group of travelers stranded in a derelict town populated by several cannibals who pick them off one by one in an eerie setting? :P

But we need something bigger, and badder then cannibals, perhaps, an rp in post-apoc' Florida... With rad-gators...

Edit: By the way, mods, please don't close this, were brainstorming ideas. Please?

I started a fan-fic in Florida, but I never got past chapter 3. It jsut died. I was gonna put gators in, but like I said, it died.

I would join, but I have probloms if m in more than 3 RPs at once, and I have 2 TES ones and one on the Fallout Forums.

How about you do something weird, like with time travel, like the essences of people that have gone through time stilll remain there, and are forever doing something or other.

Okay how about this, it Takes place in New Orleans half the city is gone due to one of the nukes dropping nearby. most of the city is populated by ghouls and a new race called Fermites, a half ghoul half human, and they look worse than normal. a lot of the residents do voodoo and witchcraft for a living. many people are murdered due to an evil spirit being called upon.
Only a select few(people who sign up) can try to destroy this being with Guns, Wit, counter witch practices, and a little luck

Pretty good eh?

I'm definately considering it, but most likely more along the lines of Condemned 2. For those of you haven't played it, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Condemned_2:_Bloodshot a wiki link. All you need to read is the plot summary to understand the jist of it, tell me if you think this would be a good idea. Obviously it won't be an exact copy, but it will be similar, if this is my choice.
