Would Fallout New Vegas have benefited from....

Ok so think for a second. When you first meet Caesar how the game takes hold of the situation. You just walk up to him and talk?

Wouldnt it have been better that the moment you open the door a scene plays where he greets you and the camera zooms to him sitting on his throne casually watching your character walk in. Same dialog mind you but more cinematic. You are given the options as usual to respond but its an over the shoulder view of you. If you choose to kill him or have wronged the legion he says in a close up of his eyes in a very angry fashion Im gonna [censored] burn you alive! Then the camera goes to normal and you get play as normal. Mind you im not talking cinematics for every event but for those that matter, such as meeting Caesar, saving the president or assassinating him, your meeting with Crocker Moore, or Macnamara.

I just rewatched the ending of Fallout 1 bad ending and enjoyed the cinematic of seeing everyone die why because it was made to look pretty good. I wasnt told it was over and then shown a picture I saw a cool cinematic event that made it feel epic which if it had been done in the modern FO way it would have just been a close up to a face and speak while time is frozen. Does anyone else think the game would have benefited from Cinematic important scenes?

There was no speaking to Caesar in my game. I wasn't remotely interested in anything a slaver had to say. On Cinematics, I really don't like it when a game takes over from me. Cinematics are just fine for a game beginning and ending but I don't like cutscenes. I just feel that if I want to watch a movie, I'll watch a movie, but I play these games for that first person experience....sorry.

No.There should not be cutscenes if fallout. It doesn't fit.It would kind of remove the freedom we have in the game.

Quit trying to turn fallout into mass effect

You do realize Fallout 1, Fallout 2, and Fallout: Tactics all had cinematics in them right? He DOES have a valid point. In theory it could prove interesting, but that depends on how well Bethesda (or Obsidian in this case) would do with the game cinematics.

But then Fallout 1 and 2 were games with isometric view, the 3D cinematics and talking heads were just right because it showed some characters and locations with greater detail
Cinematics don't go well with fallout 3/nv gameplay style because we already have the conversation sistem, its similar to the originals's talking heads,so i think its just fine the way it is

No comments on tactics.

Lol, sorry to be an ignorant tool, but the gameplay of the first two was terrible. I played fallout 1 2 weeks after it came out, completed it in every way possible. I loved the plot and the consequences of your actions, but looking back I thInk the gameplay was horrendous:

Though they did excel in plot and story.

And yeah, I agree with the op, I don't think all characters should have it, but important ones should. As long as they sort out the lip synch. Because, admit it, it was a major letdown to see those incredible graphics in the opening scene and then have the same old fallout 3 graphics.

I'm sorry but I have played too many amazingly bad games, so its hard for me to call Fallout 1's gameplay horrendous, in fact its perfect compared to some games I have played.

and in my opinion Fallout 3 has worse gameplay, it was so bad and clunky they had to add a instant win button then claim it was a throwback to Fallout 1 and 2.
