I would like to turn into a Dragon!

Post » Tue Dec 22, 2009 9:17 pm

Not only would it be incredibly hard to implement it and make a 1st person experience that isn't really confusing and clunky, but It'd be really unbalanced and probably result in a lot of bugs and glitches.

EDIT: also, dragons fly as a main use of transportation, and we won't even get a levitation spell, that won't work out.

But it probably won't take too long before there are people who made mods which let you morph into dragons.

0.o

Are you serious? Being a dragon would kinda ruin the whole point about the game.

This is from the end of Oblivion.

And in any case, what does turning into a dragon have to do with lighting the fires? Don't say Martin turned into a Dragon, because I will facepalm with such force that I'll cause many a tsunami.

I think, I never ever mentioned Martin. OK. This is going nowhere. I cant really comment on the words of others.

PS. As much as I would like to debate with you, your every post is very agressive, which either provokes me or is hard to accept. I withdraw. Let's agree that you are correct. Turning into dragons is not only not supported, but contradicts the lore, a stupid idea, which everyone hates. Period.

While I would love to be a dragon and eat people and burn houses and torch enemies and claw them and etc....playing as a dragon in ES is not nescessary at all. I would love to do that in another setting, but not the Elder Scrolls.

You guys know that Todd said he is messing with shapeshifting too, right? I am looking for the source so bare with me

EDIT: Dang cannot remember where I saw it but I swear on my life it said that todd is tinkering with werewolves, vampires and shapeshifting (But he says he is not promising anything of course).

" I can say that… we are fans of that stuff as well, and we are currently messing with all of that. So I don’t want to commit to ‘here are the things you can change into’ and what they’re like right now. Not because we’re not doing it, or not attempting to, I just don’t know, honestly, where that’s going to end up and how deep we’re going to get into that.If you look at the Bloodmoon expansion we did for Morrowind, which is probably the thing that we did that’s closest to Skyrim in some flavor, you know, the main gist of that was you become a werewolf. So, we do have some experience doing that… not too long ago,”

Yes, he is talking about werewolves.

What WOULD be cool (And realistic imo) would be if there were dragon power words for flying, that you could use :D

It was the podcast where the fans asked him popular questions. One of which was werewolves.

I dont see the idea making it into the game, even if it was heavily requested and most people on these forums don't seem on board with the idea.

Spoiler
But there's one they fear..
In their tongue it is DLC..

I know everything that was told. Thank you. I don't want to play as a dragon, I want to turn into a dragon for fight's sake. It is not that difficult to implement. I am also surprized that people dont want to turn into a dragon. Why not?

umm... You don't wanna play as a dragon except you wanna turn into one to fight... Last time I checked that was playing as a dragon...

A mod for dragon transformation would be nice. That allows people to enjoy being a dragon while keeping it completely optional.

I don't see the problem with flying. It could probably be easily implemented because there is already a system that allows you to move in both a horizontal and vertical direction -- swimming. You could merely make flying similar to swimming through air and perhaps tweek the controls to make it feel a little more like flying.

This mod would just be fun, giving you an interesting perspective on a world you already love to explore.

by all means it would be a fun way of transport but although quite a few casual gamers would love the fact that you could jump in the air and transform would be fun I would say no, the only thing I would ask for is the levitate skill from morrowind, you know that was just funnnnnn as cake. atleast you could fight the dragons in the air then :P. But i would definately say NO to becoming a dragon.

Because it's [censored] and it doesn't belong to TES! :flame:

Oi.
Im allowed an opinion too, thank you.
To be fair, lore does not contradict mortals turning into dragons.
Or are we forgetting Akavir?
