I would like to turn into a Dragon!

And fight another dragon in a dragon form. Turning into dragons is not against the TES lore. What can be a better way to kill an otherwise unbeatable opponent? Wouldn't it be cool?!

I know everything that was told. Thank you. I don't want to play as a dragon, I want to turn into a dragon for fight's sake. It is not that difficult to implement. I am also surprized that people dont want to turn into a dragon. Why not?

bethesda is not gonna do it but if you want to so bad just mod it in
it wouldnt be that difficult just replace the normal skeleton with that of a dragon and have the parts of a dragon as clothes, but if you do that there will be some things you cant use like a morph modifier, so no blinking or moving lips

Read the lore on Dragons. That's why.

id rather not turn into the enemy just to fight the enemy. seems like a better accomplishment when you are not 10 feet tall winged and can breath fire  id rather slay a dragon with cold steel not by biting and scratching them while spewing sparks from my mouth like a firework.

:lmao:

It's not.

A great war was raged, which left both the cats and the snakes weak, and the Dragons all dead. Since that time the cat-folk have tried to become the Dragons. Tosh Raka is the first to succeed. He is the largest Dragon in the world, orange and black, and he has very many new ideas.
From Mysterious Akavir.

Play Divinity II Dragon Knight Saga, all your being a dragon needs met, leaving TES for everyone else to enjoy without becoming a dragon.

Or don't play Divinity II because it's terrible.

This.

It actually wasn't too terrible a game. Not stellar, but not awful.

(But, yeah - get the Dragon Knight Saga edition. Original edition - Ego Draconis - isn't complete without the basically unobtainable Flames of Vengeance expansion... the quest leaves you hanging on a terrible cliffhanger. Guess which version I have? Divinity 2:DKS is the full thing, with both Ego Draconis and Flames of Vengeance.)

You better get the PCversion, because mods are the only way for that to happen.

Oh, don't even start with this rude ignorance.

Would you care to explain how my post was ignorant?

We won't be able to fight as a dragon because of the lore surrounding dragons. Velorien's exerpt from Mysterious Akavir is testament to that.

look saying playing as a dragon and turning into a dragon being different made this thread redundant. asking to turn into a dragon made you sound like ether a hopless idiot or a brilliant troll... (ill leave that one up to you though)

Turning into a dragon has got to be the stupidest most gimmicky thing i have ever heard of. one the transformation would be dumb as hell.

two, your Dragonborn not dragon... besides how would they explain it? " oh a dragons form is a dragon shout" NO! that's a pitiful excuse for adding a game killing gimmick

Playind as a dragon requires levitation/flying, which is most probably against game mechanics. Turning into a dragon for fight's sake and turning back to a human form after fighting can be done in a closed cell, where you can implement levitation, but will not need area transitions. Turning into a dragon form is not different than turning in a werewolf form. One is not more gimmicky that the other, or is it? Lore-wise, you need divine intervention to become dragonborn. 1: You can already have dragon blood by the game design; 2. you can get dragon blood from Gods, however they did it before with the emperor line. I don't see any problems here.

No. Only thing we should be able to turn into are vampires and werewolves. No dragons at all.

again it seems like a much greater accomplishment to beat a dragon when you are not 10+ feet tall winged and can breath fire

Martin didn't turn into a dragon, instead he released the soul of Akatosh from the Amulet of Kings.
Anyway turning into a dragon would butcher the TES lore and I plan to be like Beowolf so turning into a dragon would ruin that for me

The Amulet is shattered. Dagon is defeated. With the Dragons Blood and the Amulet of Kings we have sealed the gates of Oblivion. Forever. The last of the Septims passes now into history. I go gladly, for I know my sacrifice is not in vain. I take my place with my father and my father’s father. The third age has ended and a new age Dawns. When the next Elder Scroll is written you shall be its scribe. The shape of the future, the fate of the Empire, these things now belong to you.

This is from the end of Oblivion.

And in any case, what does turning into a dragon have to do with lighting the fires? Don't say Martin turned into a Dragon, because I will facepalm with such force that I'll cause many a tsunami.
