Would it be possible for Bethesda to allows us to turn off s

If only we could disable shadows, my old crappy PC, runs Skyrim at 13 FPS on low, turned off the shadows 25 FPS, the PS3 has a higher frame rate so I stuck with it, but damn if Bethesda would just let the PS3 and XBOX guys turn of the shadows, that would be great. Maybe they could add that in 1.9, could a fellow Gamer on PC do that, ask them?

and we dont want people spamming about things they want.. just saying.. but nevertheless i do agree it could help a bit if we had the option to toggle shadows

Shadows do cause some lag, and on top of that shadows in Skyrim are HORRIBLE. Pixelated, choppy, flickering...they serve really no good purpose except it makes it easier to figure out approximately what time of day it is without having to hit select or start.

Console games don't generally allow any graphical changes beyond simple toggling and brightness.

Night sky looks fantastic, though

The graphics on zooming in at places with snow looks terrible. But trees far away looks really nice.
(In a battle this has not much attention anyway...)

The shadows in Skyrim are some of the worst you will see on the PS3 and I doubt Beth will do much about them unfortunately.

Even the PS4 won't make them look better unless the code is rewritten but if there is another ES game and it's coded for PS4 as well as 720 or whatever it should look stunning.

Considering the new consoles will have PC parts inside, i expect nice and clear graphics and fluently running games. Otherwise no go for me. I don't pay 450 bucks (or whatever) and not playing games like a PC do.
(It's my opinion anyway) :tops:
