Would this character work gameplay-combat wise?

Heya there, just want some opinions on the character Im planning to build.

First of the concept, I love Breton's, they are the race I can most relate to myself, I also love assassins, and magic. Now on to the character, what I am planning to build is an Breton Assassin, focusing on stealth, one-handed, and a few perks within lockpicking and pickpocketing, paired with Illusion and Conjuration. My main concern is that while I love the idea of an assassin that can summon forth Daedra or animate corpses when caught, it doesnt really fit, neither combat/gameplay wise, or in an assassin character being so widely spread over the three branches so to speak, and yes I know that 'you can be whatever you want' in the game, but I really dislike levelling skills that become useless to me, because it really makes the game hard when you climb levels really fast, but svck in combat because you keep switching your playstyle. (e.g. being full mage, then suddenly deciding you wanna be melee)

The game doesn't get broken like Oblivion if you don't focus your leveling. That's not to say it wouldn't be difficult if you leveled everything up equally, but focusing on 6 of the 18 skills isn't going to put you in a bad position.

Don't spend perks in lockpicking ! Unless it's for the treasure hunter perks (the rest is almost 100% useless).
