Would this be a cool concept for a character?

Start as an orc, but instead of following any quests or anything, find an orc stronghold and just live there. ...avoid towns unless looking to trade, live off the stronghold and the wild.

I would get bored of that character quite quickly.

It'd be cool at first but I'd get bored too. You gotta do some quests, or at least some other activities.

If you did heavy role playing then it'd make sense but other than that it would probably be a very boring character to play.

I agree that it would be boring.

Completely off topic, but does anyone have any pictures of an orc in full Orcish armor? I've always wanted to see one.

I suppose it would be boring, but what about eventually doing quests but making an orc stronghold your home? Are they safe storage?

Could always cook up some intrigue. Build a life there, become ambitious, grab a bunch of followers, and vive la revolorction.

I've played as a wilderness-dweller for a while now and it is interesting; it takes a degree of player skill to hunt animals as nature intended - with a bow and arrow, and fancy footwork - and you have to get creative if you want any item. If you roleplay the need to eat, keep warm, etc., you need that item and the hardship is actually a fun challenge.

Would be a great way to start, but soon after I would start doing mercenary work, maybe DB. (yes, I'm thinking of Gogron gro-Bolmog)

I'd build my own stronghold, set my own patrol points for them to guard. I would go out, pick a fight with some guards, and lead them back to my stronghold for my orc brethren to kill them off

Hmm, sounds like a tasty idea. My Tor will love what he brings in to his home tonight. I would probably decorate the stronghold with blood rags and dead, mutilated bodies of travelers.

Do it and make it NOT boring. Set a primary stronghold as your home. Find a follower from one of the strongholds that isn't your home. Don't equip anything better than orcish. Use fur armor until orcish. Do the daedric quest first. Afterword, spend your days traveling from stronghold to stronghold on foot, and clear out dungeons you pass on the way. Do no fast travel. Maybe have a "trading post" city near your stronghold

Hey, not a bad idea there. That sounds like a lot of fun

Also, I don't play for the strongest armor. At least not until I am way higher in level and even then, I prefer style over the quality for some of my characters. Gotta make your character fit and look cool in your armor :)
