Would You Believe It?!

After playing Fallout: New Vegas for over 100 hours, with very few problems, I returned to Fallout 3 last week.

I played FO3 for a few months last year, and completed the main quest, side quests and the 5 DLCs. I decided to start a new character.

I'm now experiencing a minor glitch with the Pipboy: sometimes it's further down the screen than normal, but you can still see everything, but it has also appeared much further up the screen, with some of the information off screen! After a while, it returns to normal (reloading a saved game, or fast travelling, doesn't make a difference. Even quitting and reloading didn't cure it).

I don't know if this is a known glitch (I did a quick search but didn't find anything), but it never happened before. There was a small (about 3MB) update that I let it load when I first began it again. I thought that was a bit strange, as I downloaded all updates last year.

I had that happen a few times when I was playing on the XBox. Aggravating as hell, to say the least.

I had about the same luck trying to fix it as you have. I'd save, exit, power down the Xbox and then restart everything. Sometimes that fixed it right away, other times I'd just have to wait for it to return to normal.

I think that if you unequip your weapon, then exit the Pipboy it should reset it - it's worked for me so far.
(Still not sure why I never had that glitch at all during my first playthrough.)
