Did it once. Never again. If she's not around your level of intelligence, it'll be boring, and will end up being totally excruciating.

Nope. I'm a bit arrogant, or at least condescending. I can't stand stupid people. Acting stupid is one thing, but someone naturally being ditzy and stupid just makes me cringe. It confuses me how so many airheads seem to breeze through High School and College, then just crap out every little thing they learned.

Intelligence is something that I use to decipher if a girl is attractive or not.

OK, are we talking truely challenged in the intelligence department or they just act stupid because they think that is what the other person wants?

For the former, I guess it would all depend. For the latter, no way.

No, its annoying.

I don't mean someone who you have to explain things too if they don't get something or just simply ignorant, you can teach them.

But someone who will not take the time to learn or thinks its a waste of time. NO.

Depends on whether I like her or not. Intelligence is part of the personality but it's not everything.

Anyway, I don't think I would. I might, but it would be a downside.

I doubt I could do that all the time. Occasionally? Sure, but to do it frequently? I'm a patient man, but it isn't that capacious :cryvaultboy:

It got old real fast. She was a fun person to hang around with but her sheer stupidity, and the fact that she was so proud of it, drove me insane after a couple of weeks. Not to get too arrogant or anything, but I am smarter than average, and having a girlfriend who barely passed 5 GCSEs ended up unbearable.

If they were fun enough to be around I might give it a shot. Are we talking some brain farts concerning common sense, or chewing balloons for their nutritional value stupid?

I have difficulty making friends at all with stupid people. Frankly I think stupidity - or at least what I call stupidity - is morally wrong in the same way as intolerance or unkindness. And just like those things, I think it's ugly too, so I wouldn't be attracted to someone like that...

And like mumatil said, by stupid I don't mean people who are just ignorant, badly informed or even slow to catch on. The stupidity I hate is the kind which is a choice not to be interested in the world around you and a refusal to think about things.

The kind of people who blatantly disregard knowledge as I've had said to me 'for losers' 'uncool' or 'gay'?

Makes me feel like the movie Idiocracy is in our near future :banghead:

Well if they are will to be listen to every word I say and are very interested and want to learn, then yes.

If they think I am boring when I talk about something that is "intelligent" then no.

If they are really really really attractive, then yes.

Well I have done. So yeah, I guess I would. I was hoodwinked I tell ya! At face value she seemed clever, but the more I got to know her, the more I realised she wasn't all too smart. I'd like to say I'd never go out with an idiot again, but when it comes to relationships, I don't usually go from "friend" to "boyfriend", it's a jump from stranger.

Who is to say that any of you are any smarter? You should always give someone a try, just because they are "stupid" doens't mean they are not fun or is a nice person. I believe someone said this already but if you don't click or find her not enjoyable that is a different story since the maturity or lack there off is on different levels.

So I always say try dating the person once maybe twice after that you will know if you like them or not, or if they are any fun.

I don't respect stupidity. If I can't respect a guy, then I wouldn't date him.

@Davor: read http://notalwaysright.com/ sites archives. That's stupidity right there. The kind of stupidity where the IQ is the same as their shoe-size.

Nope. First thing, stupid -- and I do mean stupid, not necessarily just ignorant -- people annoy me greatly. I just can't stand stupidity. As much as that makes me sound like a holier-than-though ass, I don't know how else to say it. Second thing, personality is the overwhelming factor when it comes to dating someone, and a stupid one is definitely not something I'd go for.
