Only if I was a Khajiit, need the extra fur coat just to stay warm.

Potential to become immortal means a yes from me.

this 1000 times over - of course I would live in a universe where I can realisticly attempt to ascend into some sort of god-like being (achieve CHIM and all that other good stuff)

Real life scale? Yeah, It'd be cool for a change, not to mention the adventure. Although I'd eventually grow tired, time to visit Tamriel :P

Also, the pilgrimage to High Hrothgar, mountains, Falkreath hold, the Reach, Markrath, Solitude. AWESOME. Dangerous but really cool.

Whether or not I'd like to live in Skyrim depends largely on whether or not I can learn and study magic. Being able to instantly cure any disease or injury, raise the dead to do my housework, and defend myself by electrocuting people would be incredibly bad ass.

Being a peasant without any sort of modern sanitation who farms lettuce for a living and fends off dragons with a pitchfork would friggin' svck.

That's odd?
We call it Northern Canada.
I live on the edge of a great wilderness. I was born and raised in the forest.

Hell yes! In Skyrim, I can have a beautiful wife and live my life being who I want to be: A Sweet Roll pastry chef.

You wouldn't be a Dovakiin. Just a normal citizen in Skyrim. Just another normal peasant, or wealthy civilian.

As much as I love the game, I started to really think about it the other day and I'd never in a million years want to live there. Such a gloomy life, I'd end up hanging myself within 10 days.

Ahhhh.... that's the kicker right there. IF I was Dovakhiin it would be an emphatic hell yes - forget getting married, kill a dragon and pimp the town!

Ha, otherwise the many, many ways to die would be a deterrent, and the cold, Yee gods the cold. Can't stand it. Of course... there's always flame spells... but still, I'd probably burn my house down trying to get warm.

Ehh, people say the setting is depressing, but I just don't see it. The only time I actually felt it was when Paarthurnax was talking about not saving the world.

People seem cheery, nobody really complains much, and even the beggars don't seem that desperate. It's the same impression that I got from FONV.

I will admit though, the landscape does seem dreary at times, and it's definitely different from the adventuring landscape that Oblivion had.

I would. I'd live in Whiterun in the Breezehome. But not as a simple civilian. I'd have to be the adventurer like your character. Scratching a living in those conditions is horrible but if your well off and powerful, its much easier life. I'd enjoy it.

Nah, you're doing it wrong. Calm down Lord Voldemort.

You know at best any representation of you in an ES game would be the Adoring Fan. You're not cut out for achieving CHIM, I'm sorry.
