Would you like a faction expansion DLC?

*******************POSSIBLE MQ SPOILERS*********************************

I would love it if bethesda pulled some Broken Steel magic and gave us a bit more depth with the main Factions and possibly the main quest.

MM;How about some unique /non radiant Minutemen quest? Retaking quincy? Some more characters?

RR:How about some quests that allowed us to get to know our fellow agents? And again some unique -non radiant quests?

BoS:They are pretty fine actually. How about restoring their cut alternative ending?

Institute:They should be expanded in a way that makes the position of director less ambiguous.A bit more insight on their plans would be nice.

And also:

An ending that does not involve nuking an entire comunity.Seriously?why would the minutemen NUKE the damn thing?WTF?4

Finally:Some post MQ scenarios.Something that let us bring the story to a closure.maybe a meeting of the surviving factions to decide the future of the commonwealth?

Completing the game with the minutemen and seeing the Prydwen on the other side of the bay knowing the railroad is still operational gives me an uncomfortable feeling. You don't really get any resolution unless you...explode some more people.

What are your Ideas?

Do you think this kind of expansion is needed? Would you prefer something like this or something new entirely (ala Far Harbor).

I would not.

I dont think I should have to pay for a DLC to "finish" the base game's factions.

I'm leaning in this direction, not because I don't want new stuff to be tied in with factions. But because I feel like the faction storylines in the base game are already complete, and I hate the idea that a studio should try to "fix" their story to appease angry fans. I want a new story - if they tie in our faction affiliation there I'm all for it. But they don't need to revisit the main quest or any of the existing questlines.

I would, but only for the Minutemen. Any other faction would require a ton of work/time. The Minutemen are the closest we get to a neutral faction and they have the most non-plot-breaking opportunities for expansion.

It'd be really cool if DLC added on more Minutemen quests, expanded the Castle and it's options more.

I want a faction DLC in the sense that it continues after the ending, dealing with rebuilding and aftermatch, consequence, more radiant quests and sidequests to explain the world state after each ending. It could also be something like a new threat coming and each group has a different way of dealing with it, the quests are still the same but the solutions of each group may be different as well.

Quincy would make a fine settlement, General.

I think it'd be neat if they added a new faction to The Commonwealth, not one that has an impact on the main story though, but takes place concurrently. I know they're likely all but dead, but I honestly would love to see the enclave again and there are multiple Poseidon Energy facilities in the area. It'd also be interesting to maybe even have a changed Enclave, or at least a splinter faction (having left the FO3 group with the destruction of John Henry Eden) that legitimately wants to bring the US back, without all the genocide.

Would love to see them "tidy up" the Minutemen :)

This. I don't want faction DLC that feels like it should have been there, but it would be nice to have my choice in faction have a bigger impact on the Commonwealth. I would like this type of content to be more diplomatic in nature as well.

I'd love to have a DLC where we fly with the Prydwen into a completely new location and do missions for the Brotherhood

It would add a different feel to the game, if you would already be with a faction from the start and would explore new villages as a member of the Brotherhood, acting in their interest, instead of being a loner like we always were in F3, FNV and F4 at the start.

There could be still different quest choices where you betray Maxson on your missions and do the things your way.

I'd rather have DLC to uncover the story of gunners and raiders. Hopefully after Far Harbor.

I would say yes. But I also agree with some other comments that we as a group really shouldn't have to pay for it unless there are options to radically alter the gameplay experience post faction questlines. There needs to be substance to a DLC that fixes what could have been done better in the first place.

That being said a lot of folks whined for a more new vegas type storyline despite that type of approach not typically being something that falls under the traditional Bethesda philosophy. The development team had some obvious teething moments in F4 and I still give them props to the effort of pleasing a certain fan base despite some lost opportunities from a quest standpoint.
