Hi community!

I was wondering if some followers from Fallout 3 and New Vegas could maybe appear in 4 :) Would you like to see them there?

I would like to see Dogmeat,Jericho,Boone and Rex in my opinion  and you?

The return of a companion could always be cool, as long as it's done within reason and a smooth transition. For instance if the return of a character means they're old as hell, then that's probably pushing it.

The return of ED-E wouldn't be so smooth because the game endings imply ED-E stays with the Courier, so if ED-E returned then people would ask what happened to the Courier.
Cass, Boone, Veronica and Arcade would all have to age and three of those four have ties to the west, so if we continue moving eastward, that wouldn't make much sense.
Rex, Lily and Raul could always make a return. I wouldn't mind seeing Raul again. Hopefully as a Vaquero.

I don't think of the FO3 companions as being super-interesting, so I'm not dying for their return. Charon was too quiet, Sarge was just a program and Fawkes got old fast.

None. New stuff is better than reusing old. In this case, at least.

"Nods" to previous games, yes. Rehashing old content, no. It'll just look lazily-done in the end.

I guess it depends partly on how far into the future the next installment goes. If it's a decade or two, then I suppose I wouldn't mind seeing a wiser Butch or Veronica. Though for the most part I'd rather have new companions, or descendents/relatives of them. In FNV in particular the companions all have complete character arcs. Hard to see how to give post-"I Forgot to Remember to Forget" Boone, for example, an interesting conflict again without rehashing his arc in FNV.

It'd be awesome to see companions from previous games show up as NPCs though.

here's the people that make sense if brought back again:
-Veronica (good ending: she travels as a lone scavenger, fixing peoples tech and filling in equations as she moves on, please remember that she has no home with the West, so no point in venturing out there.)
-Lily: (good ending: she is still muddled about her grandkids and eventually decides to search for them.)
-Raul: (hunting on those who prey on the weak as a Vaquero)

Raul to come back as a Vaquero in Fallout 4 would be great.

He could be a companion or even be like The Mysterious Stranger or Miss Fortune.
The Old Vaquero
Has a higher chance to appear then Miss Fortune or The Mysterious Stranger, but only appears when fighting enemies stronger than you, uses The Medicine Stick.

I'd love to see Dogmeat come back, but other than him I can't see any of the other companions making any sense, Dogmeat really doesn't make any sense but he's been in three of the other games so hey why not. Fawkes maybe because I think he could really be fleshed out a lot more because he didn't have much of a backstory in 3, plus he's a super mutant so age wouldn't be a problem.

Dogmeat in 3 is not the same dog as 1 & 2, and isn't 3 set on the opposite side of America?

I voted no. There are very few instances where I feel that it would be appropriate to even see an old Follower again, much less have them follow you. In NV, your followers' stories are all wrapped up into nice little packages. Some of them keep wandering, but you don't really need to fix them as the courier already did it. I wouldn't mind a cameo appearance, it would have to gel with what their end-slide story is, Ed-E continues toward Navarro, and Lily travels west depending on what you do with these characters (I really don't want to go back to Fallout 1 or 2, it's already been covered and I'll be PO'd if that's where the next one is set). It might be fun to see them, but I'd like to have fresh followers with new story and personalities.

Yes, Clover, as long as the next Fallout is either written by Obsidian or at least inspired by their style. I hated how followers with the potential for a great character had just nothing to say at all in Fallout 3, and NV made it much better. Ever since playing NV I wished Clover would've had the same amount of dialogue as the NV followers.

This. 100% this. Despite all the great dialogue that the New Vegas followers had, I would still choose Clover over all of them. I would therefore like to see her again, but only if it made sense within the story itself. If its not done well, and makes no sense within the story, then it's best to go with new characters altogether.

But if I had to choose one, then I'd go for Clover, then maybe Charon. After that maybe Veronica, Cass or EDE.

Ones a robot and ones a super mutant so age wouldnt be a problem.

I'm hoping for Fallout 4 to be arround the Missisipi or Appalachia, you find Tabitha sulking over the once again broken Rhonda, and she sends you on the quest to fix Rhonda.

And they become companions on completion of quest.

I voted yes...but if any old companions are brought back, they should be NPC's only. I"d rather have NEW characters as actual companions. However, I"d be interested as to what has happened over time to the old companions (and they don't need to tag along with me for me to find out).

Companions are kill thieves. >:( The only reason I use them is so I can have more carrying space, Rex is useful for finding things.

thus that's why I said Raul and Veronic are the only aspects from Fallout: New Vegas that are possible. Veronica has no hopes in the West, and her Brotherhood has abandon her because of her honesty, so where else?...to the East, to scavenge to eventually meet up with the Capital Brotherhood. This makes sense all the way, and our main character can actually meet her somewhere in a Capital Brotherhood outpost. Not to be a companion, but to rather talk and see how she is and what happened in NV. Tabitha and Rhonda are a very good chance they will appear as well, I mean cmon, it's good to see events like this happening. As for Raul, it's a smaller chance then Veronica, but his way of hunting down the evil or people who prey on the weak could eventually meet up with you, but I doubt it.

Not from the main games, but I would love God/Dog to make a return. He is the only Super mutant that I have really liked...
