You'd probably enjoy it until you realized how hot it was, or how hungry/thirsty you were. Oh, that and that feral ghouls, supermutants, raiders, slavers, radscorpions, cazadors, etc. weren't all the friendly.

To be honest in basic training we spent 3 weeks in the field eating out of envelopes, well kitted out but naturally living in a tent in the pouring rain, mud up to your ankles, an hour or two of sleep a day getting half an hour here or there. After those 3 weeks I learned to appreciate the indoors and warm food a little more, now add to that hundreds of people who want you dead so they can take half of a bottle of water and your boots and you have yourself a lousy camping trip lol.

It's 106 miles to Arroyo, we got a full fusion cell, half a pack of Radaway, it's midnight, and I'm wearing a 50-year old Vault 13 jumpsuit. Let's hit it

Sounds fun so yeah better go get my bottle caps

I wouldn't mind living in a world where the reset button got pushed.
I think we are growing beyond our means
I've definately done living "off the grid" so i know i can cope without the amenities of the modern world.
I am not sure i would like the whole "science!" post aopc though.
maybe just a normal one.. one with way less people and only people battling each other.

I don't like big changes in my environment. That would be a too big change for me, and I'd be alone and afraid... and probably hungry and thirsty and hunted by cannibals or starving wolves aswell.

I would like to be Human. I would not want to have to live through the first couple of decades (I don't have a radiation suit and I like the sun). Around the time of the Original Fallout till the time of New Vegas, I sure would. Somewhere in the Midwesten United States, or in Southern Ontario Canada.

Do you realize how terrible it would be to live in a post apocalyptic wasteland?

Some people adapt to violence and hardship better than others. I'd like it, so maybe I'd die... well, yeah, I'd probably die. But, hey, life now a days is work work work then retire if you have the means. Personally, I'd rather live in a Post Apocalyptic Wasteland, even if it meant dieing young!

No, because...

- it's post-apocalyptic

and...

- it's a wasteland.

I think a more valid question would be "Could you live in a post apocolyptic wasteland.?" Yes because prettymuch allI manage to do well is exist hehe.

Now would you like to live in P-A wasteland?? for me the answers No I really really like flush toilets, and toilet paper and baths (go figure) and to take an idea from the good old Gyro Captain I really love girls in Lingerie which lets face it in the wastes is very hard to come by

Maybe, if it was Fallout with robots, supermutants, raiders, and FEV mutatns running around (not to mention the radiation) then no.

If it was complete governemnt collapse with looters, cities standing, and no radiation at all then yeah sure. A friend of mine is one of those 'We've had it really good for really long, sooner or later the world is just gonna blow up in our faces and we'll have to survive!' kind of person with enough canned food to feed a large family for a month...

I'm afraid there would be too much panic, and violence, and looting, and [censored], and anarchy, and bad people if we'd live in the start of it. Then there'd be the food and water shortages, and people who may have these things might exploit others and all that, and people on the country side might make it with their growing crops, but then people might try to take over these farms because people are egoists and destroy the food and sacrifice many lives in the process, and there'd be cannibalism and..... yeah, not a desirable place. If we'd be born into the world 200 years after an apocalypse like that, if it'd appear like in Fallout, we'd probably get by but by then, society would have recovered pretty well and we'd have pretty much all that we wanted to get away from, only that we've got bad things now like giant mutants, radiation and no internet. :) Probably a society not too stable, probably at war and repressive to its inhabitants. Not to speak of crazy cults (like we don't have them today) and violent war pig factions.

Good point, You just gave me a Fallout storyline idea, you play from the Beginning of the Apocolypse, or maybe playing as an Vault Dweller and A Wastelander? Hmmm...

Hmm, I would either join Talon Company or become a clever sarcastic "Raider" who is relatively harmless (Doesn't kill anybody, but breaks the law and pesters lawkeepers) in his harassment of settlements and is regarded as an okay guy.

watch the movie 'The Road' and get back to me again if you think that a post-apocalyptic world would be fun.

At times, during playing Fallout, I have considered how being maybe with someone and just roaming the world, surviving, might be interesting. But, then I just feel sick and messed up for thinking that.

The fact that some of you say 'yes, i would like to live in a wasteland', is disturbing. You realize it would be nothing like Fallout. There will be no mutated animals, only deranged human beings, your neighbors trying to kill you for a scrap of moldy food. You also will likely not have a whole armory of weapons at your expense. You will be cold, hungry, thirsty, the sun for the first decade or so will be blocked out. People will murder, steal and [censored]. Children will be killed for food. If none of that kills you, then the radiation will.

Sometimes our fantasies think that a world like Fallout would be cool in a sense, rebuilding society, being a leader of a new society may be cool, but the reality of it is so dark that we cannot imagine. I encourage you to watch The Road, with Viggo Mortensen, the book by Cormac Mccarthey, in fact, Fallout was sort of based on the book. You will see how a post-apocalyptic life is the end of the world
