I also prefer shooting my opponent in their beds, while they Are asleep, from 300 plus meters away. If they Are shackled Down too, Id be quite happy.
I think having vehicles would detract from the experience. Also "The Lone Driver" doesn't have much of a ring to it.
Maybe we'll be able to ride the dog.
LOL, I had an idea of an vehicle who run on mini nukes. Think project orion nuclear bomb powered spaceship, think pong stick with the stick replaced by an mini nuke launcher shooting down, an blast shield to protect you from the nuke who goes off below you.
Bonus point. probably the most insane vehicle ever made, go balistic and nuke the target on landing
Not necessarily horses, but something that makes sense in the setting, like a tamed deathclaw or one of the cows, maybe a ride-able rad scorpion. As for vehicles they would be really really rare or you have to build one yourself by finding parts and dismantling others.
Maybe we can just steal a Vertibird or turn one of the security bots into some sort of bike.
Horses aren't extinct, the NCR used horses in the All Roads comic.
Cars and bikes - yes, riding animals might be rather difficult considering all the ones living in the wastes that are big enough to carry you 99,9% of the time want to kill you and the rest are brahmin...
A mount? Perhaps, but only if the map size calls upon it for convenience.
A vehicle? hell no. And if you want to know why, you're not cognizant of what Fallout is truly about.
I doubt it'll happen. I believe you can fly in vertibirds but its probably scripted like Skyrim was. Why? Because unlike Skyrim where you can ride horses (which would be silly in a game like Fallout), vehicles are big. A motorcycle would be possible but then everyone would complain theres no cars. A vertibird would also be possible but once again people would complain theres no cars and the landings on the vertibird could be quite glitchy. Cars just wouldn't work in the wasteland I saw in the cinematic trailer. You'd not be able to drive a mile before getting out to get through a fence. And what happens if we run into something? This isnt skyrim where the horse just stops we'd have to blow up or suffer from bouncing off the walls.
Vehicles will always be a dream of mine for Fallout games but its not ready yet. Maybe next game but for now, no thanks. Vehicles are one of those things that work great for mods, but since they'd be glitchy at times beth wouldnt want them on consoles.
I dunno why you're assuming a mount? I don't know about you but I don't want all my NPCs riding around on...what brahmins?
I wouldn't mind a motorcycle. And heck we had a car in Fallout 2! We should definitely get one in Fallout 4! LOL
Who would want to ride on a RadScorpion? You'll a stinger in the back.
I voted for no on the default that they would likely [censored] up its implementation. I love the thought of riding around in an old beaten up motorcycle with a sidecar for my companion. I just think the potential for it to "ruin" the feel of the game is too great.
I said no, there aren't horses and dislike the idea of the current wildlife being mountable.
Against vehicles being outside of set groups, large enough to keep them safe and running or worthless enough that no one really wants it (Point look out boat)
If we're zooming around the wasteland it could feel like RAGE. RAGE did fun foot areas but the wastes were terrible, why would I fear any foe unless they have explosives?
There are horses, read All Roads comic.
Uhhhhh you do realize that Fallout 2 was made years ago. And sure, you might be thinking if they managed to do it with old tech it should be easier with new tech...but thats not exactly how it works. Fallout 2 was 2D there were no bumps, hills, and buildings were basically just walls. Speaking of which, there was no tight spots like a fence or a lamp post that would need destructible data. Also, destructable data doesn't work in a game like Fallout at all because you change the game forever by...running into a lamp post? Hats a bit anticlimactic.
"There are horses" yea, duh. But do you really think its common for wastelanders to be riding them around? That would turn the game into a cowboy game which would be too dramatic a change just to include faster transportation.
I'd like to see something like vertibird fast travel or working train stations, however.
Horses are extinct. Perhaps we could have Brahmin as mounts?
I always wondered why bicycles don't seem to exist in the Fallout universe
No Mounts, would be an extra thing to balance around, rather just walk.
