Ouchies. Hit a nerve by insulting an obsession of yours did I? Anyway, I hate Halo and most games like it. Nice attempt and trying to lump me in with a crowd I'm certainly not part of. By the way, are you stalking me or something? I figure you must be if you know what type of games I play... Nah but seriously, getting all hostile just because someone has a different opinion then you is the sign of somebody with uh...not a whole lot going on. Just a little friendly advice for you.
"Hmmm... Oh! Why don't they make it like Morrowind, where you get to run around some drab landscape for a few hours due to the only indication of where you're supposed to go being a half a line of text amounting to "It's by the thing near the thing. Ya know, that general area." Some of us don't have the time nor the patience to search every nook and cranny. I can't really see how that's fun to anyone. Anyway, I'd be up for them making it a toggle-able feature. "
Thats where the 'hostility' comes from. (Though in actual fact, Im not angry, merely very tired of having the same argument over and over and over.)
The way you fallaciously describe Morrowind as a game without proper directions. Wich is simply false.
It comes from you wanting to dumb the game down 'because you dont have the time' (to play an rpg)
That is why I said you might be happier with halo, as you dont seem to find the concept of a game that requires thinking brain skills 'fun to anyone'
Well, I abhor games that have no possibility of failing, no way of getting lost, where its just pushing the a button till the next cutscene.
I prefer a game like Morrowind, where the sense of accomplishment isnt hollow.
And I really dont like all the clamouring Ive seen over the past few months to turn Skyrim into a hack and slash. (petitions to remove levitation, invisibility, sneak, charm, enchantment stacking, recharging enchantments with soul gems, playing on after the main quest etc. etc.)
There are plenty of those already out there and I would prefer Skyrim to be a unique RPG, not a thirteen a dozen hack n slash.
