Would You Pay for a Character Creation Demo?

Post » Fri Aug 26, 2011 8:20 pm

Just thought I'd open this poll to see if any money could be from such a thing. Who knows... if people are interested maybe they'll do it as an online purchase. Or maybe they'll include it as a pre-release bonus to pre-order customers!

So... here is the question:
Would you pay for the character creator? How much would you pay?

I would!

You should put an option of "I voted no" in the second poll :P

And nah, I'd rather just wait

Seeing as I'll be getting the game in a few months, no way, I have this little thing called patience, weird, I know.

Yes i would pay 20 bucks for a program from Bethesda with a FACE GEN import so i could get my face onto my character without having to clone a race in the creation program.

Hell no. I wouldn't download a face-gen demo if it was free - I don't care that much about it to be honest.

Not at all, buy the rest of the game, get it for free. Besides, I've just spent an hour making a character, then nothing? That would be like smelling a fresh baked pie, but you can't eat it.

An idea could be to give pre-order people a free facegen tool that they can use to setup their physical appearance and import it to Skyrim when it comes out.

Although this is probably not practical since things may change since then and render the characters made incompatible.

Eh?

Why are people so obsessed with character creation?
You've already seen like 17-25 character screens, and character creation is an extremely tiny part of the whole game. Also, you barely get to even see your character, unless you're in third person zooming the camera in front of the character all day long.

No. That would be just wrong on so many levels. Next they would start selling the whole game piece-meal. Want to leave the prison, pay $5. What to go to the next town, pay $10.

That just isn't a good idea on any level and would certainly start a very nasty trend.

Pay for a demo? Think I would pull out from buying the game itself if they even tried such an outrageous stunt.

I'd pay like a 1$ or so, would be reasonable for their efforts in releasing one for fans to play around with and share pics on the forums.

Really? Just wait. It's not that hard. I am assuming this is not the first game you've been interested in before it comes out, right?

I'll spend as much time making a character as the options warrant - til I am pleased with my character - on 11.11.11.

Aw come on no one would pay to import a facegen file driectly into the game? I mean you there have been a ton of great facegem transfers made and wouldn't it be awesome to get your own for in the game? just for a small fee.

No, I wouldn't. Although I'm really looking forward to the character creation and it will likey take me quite a while to make one I'm happy with. But to go through all that and then not be able to go on into the main game with my new character would be incredibly frustrating!

I'll just wait.
